i have a few simplisafe cameras outside and got tired of charging them. so i bought two of these rechargeable solar panels and they work incredibly well! we’ve had a few cloudy days in a row and our front camera goes off all the time, recording etc & these panels haven’t let my charge get below 90% ever! i recommend these if you are looking for a simple, affordable and reliable charging solution! they are super easy to install as well.

We had cameras that were not near any outlets for plugging in to charge the battery and the height of them made it difficult to constantly pull the battery. These solar panels work great with our Wyze cameras and keep the batteries fully charged at all times. The cable length allowed us to place the panels where we needed them. Great value for us.

Ordered for our outdoor simplisafe camera and works fine. Oftentimes get an error message in the app that the battery is low - but it never actually dies. and on sunnier days it will charge to a full battery. Probably need to clean the panel honestly.

I originally ordered this a year or longer ago and it worked initially for my Simplisafe camera series 1. It stopped working rather quickly, but I blamed that on damage because it fell off the wall a few times, I was having trouble keeping it attached. Anyway I got a series 2 camera to replace that old series 1, so I ordered another of these panels, the one explicitly described as being series 2 compatible. Panel didn't work at all new out of the box. So I returned it and got a replacement of the same Simplisafe series 2 compatible panel. The second one also did not work new out of the box. I tried a different solar panel from another vendor and fortunately that one did work. I would recommend not messing around with this one.

We were getting tired of removing the battery on the SimpliSafe Outdoor Camera we installed outside our driveway, so we decided to give this solar panel a try. I really wasn’t sure if it would truly work, or at least work very well, but months after installing and connecting it to the camera, we have not had any need to remove the battery for charging. I’ve included a photo to show its current charge state, which is still at 96% after approximately 5 months of use. Keep in mind that for the solar panel to work effectively it requires a few hours of direct sunlight (I believe 2-4 hours will suffice), so make certain to install it in a location that receives direct sunlight. We have had days with significant rainfall but that doesn’t seem to have affected its functionality. I don’t recall the exact cable length but believe it’s around 10 feet, so be cognizant of the distance between the location of the camera and where the panel will need to be installed to capture the sunlight. Regarding installation, the package comes with the bracket and the screws needed to get a basic install done. All in all, this is a worthwhile buy if you want to stop pulling out and climbing a ladder to remove, recharge, and reinstall your camera’s battery every 3-5 weeks (which, by the way, leaves you with a non-functional camera for a couple of hours while charging). For us, this was worth every penny spent on this panel, especially considering the official SimpliSafe solar panel costs anywhere from two to three times as much as this one.

They work for charging in full sun. The one I have that only gets sun in the morning not so good. I have to charge the battery every 30 days. The others I haven't had to charge the batteries since installing.

Can't say anything bad about the panels themselves, just the fact that the WYZE Battery Camera Pro units I have are hit and miss if they actually will take a charge from these if you plug them directly into the cameras, most times they won't charge, but you can plug the batteries directly into the panels and they charge fine...kind of a pointless setup since the cameras don't seem to charge from them like you would think. They're easy to install with just 3 screws, but is it worth it, since you may still have to manually remove and charge the batteries.

It just lasted 6 months, suddenly stopped to charge. Fortunately Amazon managed to refund me as the item looks defective.

Not sure why but it seems to drain the battery as well as charging it. Less than a week since plugged in the battery is completely dead.

One summer in and works great so far. Keeps the camera charged!
