A great option
Works great, very easy to disassemble and clean. Its all-metal construction is very durable. It comes with a length of tube which can be sliced down to be installed at the nozzle. I definitely recommend this style of solder sucker over the type with a hard nozzle; it's easier to use, maneuver, and more completely removes solder. Good value.

Great little sucker
Great little product works a lot better than the cheap plastic ones I’ve had over the years.

One issue prevents this being a five star review
I was born cheap, and it never wore off. I try to salvage as many electronic parts as possible to feed my hobby. I like this solder removal tool so much I'm ordering two more. The design is well thought out, and it is machined to fine tolerances. I've used several other designs, but getting the tips in place for good suction, before the solder starts to harden can be challenging. Further more, the tips on those devices tend not to wear well, and they generally aren't replaceable. The VOTCT device solves this problem by machining an aluminum tip, and placing a short section of Silicon tubing on the end. The silicon tip conforms well to the area being worked. So much so that you can keep the soldering tip in place so the solder doesn't start solidifying before you can trigger the device. For kicks and giggles, I de-soldered a couple of the blue florescent VCR displays. They had 30 plus pins, and most of the pins were free after a single application of the tool. The device is smaller than the old tools I've used, so most people can probably set the plunger and release it with one hand. My arthritis prevents this, but I've worked out a two handed process that lets me work at a steady pace. One thing to keep in mind when using this tool, it's easy to accidentally press the release button while trying to depress the plunger, which prevents it latching. The spring is quite strong, which is good for suction, but it can lead to the tip of the tool bouncing when the tool is triggered. I haven't found this to be too troubling. So. About that one issue. The plunger is a single machined part - except for the disk that creates the suction when the tool is triggered. The plunger screws into the disk, and again the machining is excellent. The catch is that while using the device, the plunger can unscrew itself from the suction disk, until the plunger goes flying off. The first time it happened, I was fortunate and found the plunger. When I screwed it back in, I tried to get it tight enough so it didn't do it again. Last night it did it again, and this time the plunger landed deep in the bowels of my workspace. I doubt it will ever see the light of day again until the hazmat team cleans out my work room after I shuffle off this mortal coil... That's why I'm buying two more. If I lose another plunger, I'll have a back up this time. I'm also ordering a tube of Loctite to see if that doesn't help prevent the unscrewing.

Easy, basic, solid, reliable.
As an hobbyist trying to get more hands-on with electronics repair, I'd say this solder sucker is great for my needs. I'm still not super handy with wick, and I can't justify getting a full on solder remover machine at the moment. This bridges the gap, and I've used it for hours on end over several months now on different projects, and I really like how it performs. Plunger is stiff but easy enough to reset. Gulps up all the solder I give it. And spits out big plugs of solder when it head is full (I learned early on not to reset the plunger over the work, so as not to discard chunks of solder over the pcb). I like how it feels in the hand, too - the solid, chunky, basic machining of the parts.

Very well built, solid aluminum pieces, silicone tubing and lots of suck!
Almost as good as my Japanese and German plunger operated desoldering tools. It includes additional tubing for the uptake assembly, it is weighty in the best ways, includes additional tubing VERY stout spring that provides plenty of solder removing negative pressure (suction) and the quality of build with nicely anodized parts/pieces is truly top-notch. This is worth 10-times the value/cost of the less expensive, plastic-body, weak-spring variant that will only save you $5-$10 (compared to this MUCH nicer, and better built variant) while costing you immeasurable frustrations and time. If you need to suck solder from through hole components and don’t need a dedicated desoldering station (or, like me, have a desoldering station but don’t want to fire it up to remove a handful of parts), this is the ticket before you even mention its price! A true bargain. Highly, highly recommended.

Missing cap
Looks well made and really nice but shows a cap in the photo and that's why I chose this one over another one but it didn't come with one

Prudut bom.
Atende as expectativas. Precisa de cuidados com a camisinha de silicone ( costuma sair do lugar ) e manter a câmara de sucção limpa.
