**Q: Will this work with new iPad pro?**
A: Not in portrait mode.

**Q: Is it made of metal or plastic?**
A: It is metal AND plastic.  The clamp section and arm that attach to mic stand or other "pole" is metal and the tablet "clamp" is plastic.  It is pretty tough plastic as well and has taken some inadvertent abuse.

**Q: Can it be screwed directly on a tripod or mic stand instead of clamping?**
A: If you drill a hole in it. I never had a mic stand with a hole in it.

**Q: i am looking for a holder for my granddaughter to attach her samsung tablet to her telescope. any sugestions???**
A: This should hold the tablet with no problem. The question is whether it will connect to the tripod, and if it can be placed where it is convenient for her use.
