Microphone works well with headset to be able to talk on the phone while mowing

Worked great for the money and people could hear me even while mowing the lawn! Would recommend the boom mic.

I was hesitant to buy this. Would it be worth it? Would it really suppress surrounding noises? Could I use it while driving the wheel loader or tractor (neither of which has an enclosed cab) The answer, thankfully, is a resounding YES to all the questions. This was so worth it. Now I don't have to stop the equipment to take a call while I work. I have regained hours of time per week. It paid for itself the very first day I used it.

It’s just a generic mic with a gooseneck (flexible) boom, and a typical audio minijack. Any white noise canceling feature comes from your phone, not the mic. Any generic minijack mic would work similarly. There is a blocky custom fitting piece that exists for no particular reason, as it doesn’t offer any retention detents or anything to help it stay secure in the headset. Tapping your own retention screw to hold it might be wise.

This boom mic works fine, if it stays attached to the headset. Voice clarity is good, when compared to the built-in mic and allows use when an intermediate surrounding sound level. However, although it is advertised for use landscape settings, this mic easily fall out and becomes lost. My mic fell out while mowing and I did not discover it until much later. A much more reliable method of securing this mic to the headset is needed before I will consider replacing it.

The quality of sound was more poor than the on board sound on the isotunes headphones. Definitely not worth a fraction of the price, and I returned the headphones too and went with 3M, which are less expensive and better quality.
