Review: Ideal for use as it is designed! - I think this would be a great product for air con pipework etc. Unfortunately, I was trying, as an experiment, to use it for something for which it was not designed, and it didn't work. This is NOT to detract from the product in any way, seems well made, relatively easy to cut to get the sections that you want etc, so I think it would be a quick and easy way to expand or contract air conditioning (etc) plastic pipework. Very fast delivery, very well packed.
Review: Simple, cheap, sturdy, and of course it works, and, I can't imagine how anyone could say it doesn't. - Don't believe the naysayers I had to laugh, reading all the negative comments about how this product is 'useless', 'doesn't work', 'is the wrong size' etc. It seems that these naysayers simply do not understand how these universal reducer connectors are supposed to be used. So, here it is: You have a ventilation outlet/inlet of 3 inch diameter, and want it to connect it to a 6 inch diameter fan outlet/inlet. or vice versa. You SIMPLY connect a 3inch hose to the 3 inch diameter fan outlet and connect the other end of that hose to the universal connector's 3 inch diameter section, THEN connect a 6 inch hose to the 6 inch diameter section and connect THAT hose to the 6 inch diameter fan outlet/inlet. In other words, you need a length of 3 inch hose and 6 inch hose and affix the reducer connector BETWEEN them. If needs be, you can always cut away the larger or smaller sections if they are unused and 'get in the way' and of course, your ventilation hoses can be as long or as short as you like.

**Q: Will item require a jubilee clip to fix to my ventilation hose or does it have tightening thread within it ?**
A: you need clip or zip tight or duck tape to secure it does not come with clip

**Q: I have a hole in my wall from a drier vent and want to use it for my air con hose but it’s too big, will this work? How do I attach it to the hose?**
A: It all depends upon pipe diameters - will your two pipes fit either inside one of the fixed rings. If flat plastic pipes you can glue them on or in. If ribbed flexo hose you can simply use a zip tie with hose fitted to outside

**Q: Can this withstand heat to use with tumble dryer hose (4 and half inch) to extractor hole in wall (3 and half inch)?**
A: yes its fine I use it also on exhaust of my air conditioner and that is pretty hot

**Q: What is the height of the converter? I am fitting a new Cooker hood in a cupboard and the gap between the outlet of the hood and the pipe is 4-5cm.**
A: I can’t remember to be honest but that’s probably the height of the first two bottom sections. It doesn’t matter cos the pipe will fit to whichever section it lands on the rest will go inside the pipe or you can break off the sections not required from the top either way.
