For this age group , pretty good , especially given the price , I got it for like 10 $ at the time. It was a great price and is lightweight, so it isn't difficult for our children to handle when looking at slides. We bought slides to go with this from another company and used it the first day it came in. Everyone was excited to try it and loved being able to see the difference between samples, but it was a bit confusing which brightness to use and where to adjust the light to get the best focus and clearest picture. It took a bit of finagling to get the slides in focus. It would be helpful if it came with a booklet that detailed the different uses of the focus and which slide samples would work well for each strength. Overall this was a great deal and we are very pleased with this product.
