My mother lives in a separate annex in our house and so sometimes needs to let us know if she needs help with something. This is ideal as she just needs to press the button and the receiver unit then sounds in the main house or garden. It is also great that both units are portable so can move with you wherever you are. These are only intended for use within a reasonable range (ie in same house/garden). I tested it and it worked from right at the end of the garden. The receiver is rechargeable by USB and the button has a small internal battery which will need replacing every so often. We will still need an alert system linked to a phone as well of course - for when we are not at home - but this is a great product for most of our needs. It seems well made and comes with option fixing screws/sticker, manual and even a mini screwdriver though I am not sure what this is for. The two components were already paired from the box so no set up was needed. All very intuitive in use. Highly recommended.

The bell is great but does not stick very well with the magnet and it fell off and smashed open..I was able to fix it but now it just sits on the side

REVIEW EDIT after five weeks. The battery in the receiver only lasts 7-10 days. ------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW, I am very pleased with this, good value for money. It took 4 hours to charge the receiver which seemed a long time, then I picked it up and the light went out meaning it was charged so maybe there was a connection problem. Pairing the window sensor, doorbell and selection of volume and ringtone took less than 10 mins, everything was fitted in about the same time and it all works. I live in a 3 bed 25 year old house, so thin internal walls, The signal could be picked up at the farthest point away in my house upstairs through the front door, a floor, a wall and a bed so no problems with that. I think the bell looks good. The instructions are poor, I think some folk would be confused. Please guys put some more effort in, it makes your product look so much better if it is in colour, makes sense and is relevant to the product. The other thing is that the advert on Amazon is incorrect it says "【1Rechargeable Receiver+2Waterproof Door Bell Button】" I suspect that this is a cut and paste error from another item, but again it is this sort of thing that chips away at its review

A magnetically triggered doorbell/alarm that works via a 433 Mhz cm12210lc chip in the receiver, the volume and selectable tones are loud and distinctive but the transmitter/trigger and receiver are not particularly weather proofed so indoor use only. The claimed range of 650 ft (image) and 300 ft (product information) were of course somewhat exaggerated as I determined in the park late one night managing a range of 170 ft line of sight. Overall this item would prove to be a useful home security addition with scope for it to be used to ensure your bicycle or other portable items don't go wandering of an evening.

Really good wireless doorbell chime. First of all thr price is quite good for me. It is pretty loud with 4 volume levels. Also could be switched off to mute. Covers really good distance to receiver. Easy to install. It says waterpoof. Great fot home security. Recommend it!!!

Works well but doesn't have the best chime options. There's only one chime that sounds like a doorbell, the others are sirens/alarms or a voice that's a says "welcome, thank you". Comes complete with everything you need to get going, so you don't need to buy batteries.
