I bought it for my chicken's dust bath and that keeps them bug free.....either way if you drink enough tasty cold beers you won't feel the mosquitos so that's a plus....also I recommend chickens either way. They keep you entertained while drinking or not, may eat your mosquitos and provide breakfast if you're hungover or not...so it's a win all round! **Q: In houston we have large ant beds due to "fire ants". does your product kill fire ants?** A: diatomaceous earth will kill ants. I had any hills in my yard, I just throw a hand full on it and in two days they are gone. I also use it on my firewood when I find ants. Iy stops being effective if it gets wet. I also use it in my Chicken coops under the wood shavings to kill mites and any bug that may wonder in. It is not a poison, it is made up of microscopic sea shells that are ground up to make a fine power. **Q: Will it kill german roaches that are outside?** A: By concept and makeup, lime should kill all bugs that come in contact with it. Now we all know that roaches are certainly the most difficult of all bugs to kill...I mean even folklore has them living through nuclear explosions. With that said, I have sprinkled this around my coop for almost 2 years (in Florida, the roach paradise) and have NEVER seen a cockroach inside their run or coop. I don't use any other bug killer. **Q: Does it repel toads? My dog got poisoned from 1 and almost killed her. Not looking to ever see another toad in my yard again..** A: In retrospect, yes. If you're repelling insects, you will naturally have less animals that eat those insects, i.e toads.
