This egg candling light is superior to most on the market, it is made with aircraft grade aluminum alloy, has 320 lumen of low heat light to be able to view even your dark shelled eggs and also to be able to be used as a flashlight with a dimming feature to check on your poultry in the dark with out disturbing them with a bright over head light. It can be used in the event of a power outage as a lantern , just slip the base on the bottom and set it anywhere flat. It is rugged enough that you can take it camping to safely light up your tent and the out doors, it even has a power bank built in so you can charge your small electronics from it while on the go. You can charge it from your phone charger in your car or from home plugged into your wall socket or even your solar powered charger making this a ideal light for the prepper/survivalist. We keep one in our cars glove box for emergencies . It also has a SOS flashing feature. This candler is very well made by touch and feel.. It was packaged well and worked perfectly for my 1st hatch, however after charging the LED light has stopped working consistently... The light will not turn on any more... I really wish it had worked...

When it works, it seems to do the job nicely. It has a very bright light, and the egg seat is well designed to keep the egg stationary, though it can easily be manually moved to get different views. The reason I rated it 3 stars instead of 5 is that it seems to have a short or something. We didn't return it, as we have always been able to get it to work. We usually have to press the on switch repeatedly though to get the light to come on. We have never had a problem getting it to turn off, just when turning it on. We really like it - just wish the switch worked better!
