However, in a nutshell: Things I liked: + Very easy to set up - paired with my Samsung S21 FE quickly and Andriod Auto took care of the rest. + Extremely easy operation - it is Android Auto, so it's very easy to use for audio entertainment (both streamed from your phone and stored locally on Micro SD), mapping, calls and a few other features (like news reports etc). + Large screen size - this is a blessing and a curse, but the best thing about the large screen (apart from it being easier to see) is that the buttons are all scaled up too, so they are much easier to hit without mistakes. + Reversing camera and steering wheel remote are included, responds to voice commands too. + Lots of options for mounting - the stand shown in the video can be dash mounted either by the included 3m adhesive pad or be screwing into the dash; alternatively, there is an arm on a suction cup for windscreen or dash mounting. + No additional app installation required unless you want to mirror your Android screen. + Fairly low power - about 5.5W in use, although be aware that is a constant drain on your car's battery. Things I didn't like: - If it is dash or windscreen mounted, the large screen size really obstructs quite a big proportion of the windscreen. - The operation is fine without being amazingly snappy. - The screen isn't bad but it's not outstandingly bright. - The pricing is a little disingenuous, £280 with a £55 off voucher makes it a £225 unit essentially. You can get it for about £20 less if you're not bothered about the reversing camera (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0C1V9F583). - Speakers are weak - make sure to connect to your in-car audio system. - Will take up your 12V socket, there is no other passthrough, although it will charge a phone connected by a wired USB connection to the device itself. You might want to invest in a 12V splitter (Amazon has loads of them: https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=12v+splittter). Do I recommend it? Yes. It's extremely configurable and versatile, easy to use and Android Auto is great. Plenty of caveats (detailed above and in the video) with a device like this so go into buying it with your eyes open and if they won't affect you, this device is an easy way to add Android Auto or Apple Carplay to your car without having to replace any inbuilt units.

This infotainment system is one of the best I have used in a very long time, the system is compatible with almost every car as it has a unique mounting setup by mounting directly onto the cars dashboard instead of into the dash or infotainment slot. By having it mounted to the dash this gives you a lot more flexibility when it comes to adjusting the position of the unit to suit your driving style. The unit has a reversing camera which produces a high resolution image giving a clear view of what's behind as your reversing. The camera is clear and the wide angle of the lens gives you enough of a field of view to ensure obstacles can be easily navigated. The kit also comes with the steering wheel controller which is tied to the steering wheel and allows you to control the infotainment system straight from the steering wheel. This is similar to most modern cars so its a incredibly cool feature to have. The built in car play and android auto works well without stuttering and is efficient when using without heating up too much. The screen is bright and clear during the day and there's not much glare. A really cool thing I've noticed is the automatic screen adjustment which makes it easy on the eyes when driving. I can definitely recommend this infotainment system which is very easy to install and works very well.

Tried for ages to connect my Samsung J6 to this unit and so far have been frustrated. I downloaded the app and followed instructions but cant get the screen to display maps etc. It does charge my phone when plugged in . Can play music from sd card but that's all I can do so far. Maybe my android 10 is too old for this new unit but it did work on an older previous Carpuride screen. When my son comes with a newer phone will see if his works with it .

I was a bit sceptical considering the relatively low price of this kit, and the packaging doesn’t inspire much confidence either, but thankfully it outdid my expectations. Here are my main highlights for this product: ✔ Supports both Apple and Android ✔ Comes with wideangle rear-view camera ✔ Large 9-inch touchscreen display ✔ All standard inputs and outputs are supported ✔ Very responsive interface ✖ Had some problems with calls ✖ No DAB radio ✖ Not the most attractive physical setup —-------- As you can see there are a large amount of great things and just a couple of negatives. The first thing that strikes you when it boots up is the quality of the screen. It is 9 inches of IPS loveliness, and even though the resolution is only 1024 x 600, it looks much better than that would suggest. It has great contrast and even video looks excellent. It also has auto-brightness to alter the brightness depending on the ambient light level, which saves you having to mess about with the controls every few minutes when going through the city. It’s the best in-car screen I have tried, and I’ve been through a few over the years. The interface is quick and accurate, like a decent smartphone. I remember the first touchscreen systems and how laggy they used to be; this is on a different planet. The physical in-car setup may be a problem for many people, I would say that if you aren’t confident in what you are doing then don’t try, just get someone who knows what they are doing to have a go. It is possible to get it looking very professional with a bit of effort. This is overall a quality bit of kit for comparatively little money (£220 with Amazon voucher). Compared to the price you would pay for a similar name-brand kit, this is very reasonable. Of course, longevity is the real question. Will it still be working in a couple of years time? It seems to have decent build quality, but you never know what’s actually inside the housing. Decent components or cheap rubbish? Only time will tell. I will update when appropriate.

£280 at time of review I already have a w701Pro in my car, which is great, so was more than happy to swap it out to try this one, I know they say size doesn’t matter, but that extra 2” on the screen makes a huge difference, it’s like having an iPad on your dashboard! I thought the 7” was good, but this is a step up… yes its the same 1024x600 resolution, but it’s so much easier to use the maps & navigation, plus easier to hit the correct button with one eye on the road… although saying that, with the added remote control that I attached to the steering wheel , thankfully I don’t need to do that as often. As I’ve used one of these before it was pretty straightforward to set up, but I do recommend reading the manual if you’ve not, as there’s a bit to it initially… it was all pretty simple and worked well, connected via bluetooth to my iPhone all the apps were there in CarPlay and it was easy enough to find and navigate. You get a couple of ways to mount this, via the sticky pad, or the suction cup, which I did and it holds well. It would have been nice to have longer cables, both for the 12V power and the line out (although the line out is easy enough to replace with a longer cable the 12V cable less so, as the device has a small DC socket (the yellow one), so the more popular sized DC extenders won’t fit, you’ll need one of the smaller ones (no doubt you can get one on here easily enough). Of course you can connect via bluetooth for the sound, but you still need power of course. The screen is a good size, certainly a step up from a mobile phone so maps are easier to view, and the touch screen itself was responsive, I didn’t have any navigation issues. So a pretty neat device. Hope my review was helpful

This has turned out to be great for my 2009 Ford Fiesta! Have used it on several long journeys now and the large screen is brilliant for sat nav. Using Waze and it is excellent clear mapping with great info on upcoming hazards and speed cameras. The bigger screen is so much easier to read and sits well where my phone used to sit and doesn't obstruct the window view at all. The Android Auto has big clear buttons and responsive touch screen so it all feels very safe to use. While there are some good options for installing on the dash or suction to windscreen, I am able to attach it to my already installed sturdy phone holder on the dash as the base to attach is a size/shape to fit this OK. Phone (Samsung A13) connects with no issue within a few seconds of powering on, and I have got Spotify working well as that is pre installed (along with Deezer and some others). Don't seem to be able to get BBC Sounds to work so that is a bit disappointing but will keep trying. Also not managed to get it to connect to the Bluetooth auxiliary dongle I use to play my phone through the car speakers. So music is only through the device at the moment. The sound is actually pretty good but not as rich as through car speakers. Will have to try the FM option. There will be a way!!! Charges my phone at same time. The steering wheel control needs no wires or set up and attaches easily and securely with a rubber watch type strap. Controls volume, track skip/back and answer/hang up calls. Works perfectly. You do need to remember to unplug it after as it continues to use the battery after the car engine has stopped. Also doesn't fit in your pocket like using phone for satnav so you need to decide where to hide it when you leave the car! I do not have the savvy to install the rear camera unfortunately although it looks fairly straightforward with time and patience. Overall really happy with it and superb for long journeys.

Die Einstellung der Klangqualität ist dank des eingebauten Equalizers ein Kinderspiel. Die Verbindung mit dem Handy kann entweder über ein Datenkabel oder mittels Bluetooth erfolgen. Persönlich nutze ich die Bluetooth-Verbindung, bei der sich das Handy mit Carpuride und Carpuridge wiederum mit dem Autoradio über AUX verbindet. Dadurch werden die Lautsprecher des Autos für die Musikwiedergabe genutzt. Die Einrichtung der Verbindung war unkompliziert und stabil. Besonders beeindruckend ist die Anzeige auf dem Bildschirm. Hier kann man wählen, ob man nur den abgespielten Titel, eine Übersichtsanzeige mit Maps, Amazon Music und WhatsApp-Nachrichten (je nach Einstellung) angezeigt haben möchte. Zusätzlich kann man sich die Nachrichten vorlesen lassen. Das Gerät verfügt über zahlreiche Anschlüsse, darunter externe Mikrofone, eine SD-Karte, eine Rückfahrkamera, Audio-Ausgänge, USB 5V und DC 12V/24V. Die mitgelieferte Halterung hält fest an der Fensterscheibe, und die Fernbedienung kann am Lenkrad befestigt werden. Sie funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Stromversorgung erfolgt über den Zigarettenanzünder, und die gesamte Bauweise des Geräts zeugt von hoher Qualität. Ich konnte keine Mängel feststellen. Die Rückfahrkamera ist ebenfalls tadellos, obwohl ich sie noch nicht eingebaut habe und dies in der Werkstatt erledigen lassen möchte. Alles in allem bin ich äußerst zufrieden, obwohl der Preis nicht gerade niedrig ist. Aber für diese Aufwertung des Autos ist er definitiv gerechtfertigt. 👍🚗

All’inizio ero un po’ perplessa ma devo dire che ora lo adoro. Comandi al volante comodissimi. Si attiva subito al wifi del telefono e ha anche una portata non indifferente. Un prodotto davvero valido. Speriamo duri.
