Rich rust colour. Great coverage. Very runny.
This is very liquid but goes on well. The wool applicator is easy to use. I did two coats on a pair of pale pink suede shoes. It dried quickly but as itโs runny, it bled onto the rubber sole and it will not come off! So I did the entire lot. Half a bottle used on one pair of trainers. Recommend this brand and the rust colour is as expected.

Great product and service
Having never attempted to dye anything before I was very pleased with the result using this dye. I died a pair of light beige loake suede desert boots into a deep rust colour. This took approx one bottle for the pair using the included applicator to apply 2 coats. I let it thoroughly dry before applying suede shoe protection spray. So far so good- colour looks great and thereโs been no obvious dye transfer eg to bottom of jeans. I found it hard to mask the soles (duck tape didnโt stick) so just dyed those as well. Strangely the dye didnโt take to the stitching on the shoes but this is actually good because it means Iโve got contrasting light coloured stitching which makes it look very professional. Also I must give a shout out to Prestige shoe care who was the seller- the first bottle arrived with the lid partly off and the dye leaking into the packaging (not their fault, accidents happen in transit)- they resolved extremely quickly and politely, despatching a replacement bottle.

Used this dye to recolor a set of suede bar stools that I bought used, and as you can see from my before and after pictures the color took very well, without uneven coloring and resulted in a good looking refurbished set of stools. But that's where I must bring my product praising to an end because once the color was on keeping it on was proving difficult. The color would transfer so easy is was alarming to say the least as I had just put it in the worst imaginable place for something that transfers its color with a little bit of friction and that's a seat! After 3 days and I don't know how many clean rag rub downs the color just wouldn't stop transferring to the rag so I sort of panicked and push them to the side for a few weeks hoping either the color would eventually set or I'd find something to lock it in. And it was the latter that finally saved the project from being scrapped. After looking all over, calling my local leather shop, searching the internet, whatever I could think of to produce something that seals color into suede, and each time I hit a roadblock, the suede, nobody made anything specifically for suede that I could find to hold color and not damage the suede but eventually I had a eureka moment when I saw it sitting on a shelf, right in front of me the whole time, and it was a can of water repellent that said suede safe and I thought to my self, if it can keep water out surely it can keep color in and to my delight it did! Crisis averted phew!

It did just what I wanted in terms of color and ease of use. Instead of the tan color these suede Danskos came in, I wanted them to be a rust color. They now match my favorite leather purse, and the process took only a few hours for 2 coats of dye and drying time after each coat.

A very consistent dye that turns out a beautiful rich red color. I use in on veg tan leathers for gorgeous belts.
