Sold me a stolen/decommissioned Cisco ASA
Buyer beware!! Zero Star Alert!!! We bought this device in Oct 2018 but when we tried to license with Cisco, in December, we found that: -ATHQ- sold us a Cisco ASA that I cannot license with Cisco because the Serial # is reported as stolen/TERMINATED-SCRAPPED. Meaning they sold me a device that has been reported as stolen or was replaced with a RMA'ed device from Cisco but was never returned or taken out of service. This means that we cannot update the firmware(even for security patches) or get support. Total scam that leaves us out nearly $2000.00.

You need to buy a service contract too.
Maybe mention that you can't update or download the latest version of the desktop management software without buying a separate service contract... My excitement at getting this new hardware has been severely diminished by cisco's poor post-purchase experience.

Cisco = Terrible Customer Support
No one speaks native English. Tech support is a pain to deal with. Licensing is a nightmare. After a few years of absence, I decided to give Cisco another shot, but I’m done for good. Everything about them is overly difficult. It’s too bad because the hardware product is solid.

Falsely advertised used unit.
The unit I purchased from Amazon seller "TechPeddle USA" was advertised as "Original Brand New / Factory Sealed / Smartnet Eligible". However when I tried to get a maintenance contract on this device, Cisco advised that the unit was "unauthorized" doesn't have a warrantee and would need to pass the inspect and relicensing process. They advised me to return the product. Beware.
