The wire is thin but that is by design as it is supposed to deture pack rats or mice from chewing. The roll was as expected and described but only time will tell if it worked for my application. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Too thin to be an effective barrier for motivated mice *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2018* If you already have mice inside your house, this product will not keep them from chewing holes in order to escape.Had an issue with mice in water heater exhaust. Couldn't flush them all out of system reliably but used this product to seal vent. Mice repeatedly chewed through up to eight layers of mesh in order to escape. Product was useful in that it slowed them down and left a visible indicator of passage.Once I eradicated the mice from inside, this hopefully will discourage new ones from entering - but again, at least it'll show me that we've had a mouse return.
