It just works, unlike Google. Setup was quick, streaming is smooth, and everything connected without any hassle. The 4K picture quality looks great, apps load quickly, and Alexa makes searching and controlling everything easy. It also feels like a device I can keep using for years instead of constantly having to replace or troubleshoot it. Overall, fast, reliable, and well worth it.

I bought the Fire TV Stick 4K Max to replace my slow, older streaming device, and the difference is clear. Setup took about 10 minutes, apps open quickly, and 4K video looks sharp with almost no lag. The Wi-Fi 6 support helps a lot, and the voice remote makes finding shows easy. The home screen has quite a few ads, and it's a bit pricier than the basic model, but the speed makes it worth it. Great value overall, 4.5 out of 5 stars.

3rd and hopefully final update: two says after technical support help the issues serm to be cleared and was most likely due to a ln issue with one or more updates. Firestick itself back to five stars but updates, which had to be installed one at a time by technical support, need to be addressed. 2nd update for 07/2026: Tried to do a factory reset and system froze. Called Amazon customer service. Appthe return window ended months ago. Talked to two very nice and helpful representatives, one in the technical side. We were anle to do a factory reset after and it may or may not have worked. Hulu app in home screen looks different and according to the representative there was a system update a week ago when all this occurred. Too soo to tell but as I have an upgraded Hulu icon and a Spanish Amazon icon (not neede) that were not there previously,it could be the update around 06/26 was corrupted or incomplete. Hopefully it worked but if not I may need a new firestick. In any event I have to give kudos for the help I received today. Updated 07/2026: Changed from five stars to two stars hoping that I have a bad device and a new one will help get it back to five stars again. The firestick had glitches once in a while from day one where it would loose live tv favorites or I would see "no input found" on the screen but it would eventually be recognized by the tv. The last week however was worse than ever. I had to restart each day, I tried different ports, tried connecting through ethernet and wifi. Sometimes it would connect,sometimes not. Sometimes rebooting the wifi would help. I have no issues with other devices. Now it is freezing when I put on a streaming service. When it works it works well and it is up to date. I even tried with the HDMI extender to no avail. According to the Amazon app I have until the end of the year to return it but when I try it doesn't give the option. I will have to call when I can to try to get a replacement. End of 07/2026 update. I purchased the firestick 4k max to upgrade a 2022 4k Fire tv mainly because I wasn't sure how much longer the system support would be and to upscale content. With regards to upscale;and I'm not sure if I can mention names but here you go: I watched season 1 of American Gods" on Prime Video and it looked great. To watch season 2 & 3, I had to watch through Tubi, which does not stream in 4K or 1080. At first it didn't seem like there was much upscaling but afyer a few minutes (not sure how many) it improved dramatically (and I like what both streamers have to offer). The only downside, and of course the internet had many solutions, some of which did nothing. My soundbar with dolby dts-x, while perfectly compatible with my fire tv was having audio drop out issues with the firestick. The problem appears as resolved by going to the fire tv audio settings and change it to "pass through" while leaving the firestick on "best available". All in all, I'm pleased with the firestick and purchasing on sale during the black Friday sales was definitely a plus.

We replaced a working FireTV device that we obtained back in 2017. Compared to newer technology, it was incompatible with some current apps and slower to process data. The new device is much better. It set up automatically with a more full-function remote. Setup was almost scary easy, but it fired right up with access to more apps and incredibly clear resolution. The whole setup time was less than 5 minutes. We immediately noticed that lag and pixelation due to slow data processing is no longer an issue. It appears the device is making good use of the WiFi-6 system to efficiently stream and buffer data making for a smooth, high-resolution experience. Some movies streamed thru 3rd party sources, such as Tubo, have noticeable mis-timed sound, so lip movements don't match the sound output. We may be able to adjust this on our TV; not yet sure if the FireTV stick has any such adjustment. There are a few apps that either cant start or take a very long time to load. Thankfully, we can access those apps directly thru out TV, so that is a minor inconvenience. Overall, this has proven to be a welcome upgrade.

I jammed this 4K Max dongle into the back of my television because waiting four seconds for an app tile to load on my TV’s built-in "smart" operating system was slowly draining my will to live. Stock smart TV processors run on what feels like hamster wheels and bad intentions, turning a quick search for a movie into an agonizing test of patience. Plugging this thing in felt like strapping a twin-turbo supercharger to an old lawnmower. The interface snaps between menus instantly with zero stutter, and pulling up massive 4K HDR streams over Wi-Fi 6E happens so fast it feels like you're loading media off a local hard drive. The AI search actually understands vague, mumbled voice prompts instead of serving up random garbage, and doubling the internal storage finally stops that infuriating "Storage Space Critically Low" popup every time an app updates. The remote even has dedicated volume and TV power buttons, which meant I could finally chuck three redundant plastic clickers into the junk drawer forever. Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars. Scorching menu speeds, zero stream buffering, and officially euthanizes the sluggish processor lurking inside your smart TV.

And both discoveries made life a little more entertaining! I purchased the Fire TV Stick 4K Max to replace an older Fire Stick 4k Max on my TCL television, and I'm definitely happy with the upgrade. Setup was quick and straightforward, and everything runs smoothly. The menus are responsive, apps load quickly, and switching between streaming services is a breeze. The picture quality is excellent, and the overall performance is noticeably better than what I was used to. I also appreciate the convenience of having everything accessible from one remote. It's simple, easy to navigate, and does exactly what I need it to do. If you're considering upgrading an older Fire Stick, the 4K Max is certainly worth a look. Sometimes you don't realize how much technology has improved until you replace something you've been using for years. Five stars! Man may have discovered fire, but Amazon figured out how to make it stream!

I bought this Amazon fire TV stick 4K Max (newest model) and cannot believe the difference this new fire stick made to our TV watching experience. Everything is better you can put twice as many apps on it because it has double the storage than older models. The colors on the TV are more vivid and bright. You can control the TV power and volume with this remote so no extra remote is needed. The benefits are too numerous to list here. You will have to check out this fire stick and you won’t believe the endless upgrades this new one has. I highly recommend that you upgrade immediately If you have an older fire stick. It makes all the difference in the world. I bought two more for my kids. It is on sale right now, I got it for half price, the same price that the older models are. You won’t be disappointed. You need this.

My old unit was 5 years old and starting to act weird, so I replace it with an updated version and it works fine. But it's like getting a new phone. Things aren't in the same place that you're used to. So, it's like there's a learning curve. Other than that it's fine. Easy to set up
