Complete text of the Old Testament with vowels. A pointer and ark. Review: Great product, but be sure you understand the various lengths - I bought two of these for the kids at the Messianic synagogue I attend. The product is as described, with a beautiful cover. It even has the wrapping strap (I don't know what the term is) that holds the two halves together for when you're putting on the cover. The only thing I didn't like--and it's certainly not any defect, misrepresentation, or any other negative representation on the seller--was that I assumed (CORRECTLY) that from tip to tip the Etz Chaim would be about the length from the top of my bent knee to the floor. I underestimated the length of the HANDLES. Obviously, the longer the handles are, the shorter the scroll BETWEEN the handles is. So I was expecting the SCROLL to be maybe 2-3 inches more in height. (I did read the reviews saying the scroll is about 13 inches, but I didn't actually measure that out.) I was looking for a scroll that would be "full size" for kids around 7 years old to carry, which would mean it would be slightly uncomfortably big for kids around 4 years old. A 4-year old would find this scroll perfectly comfortable--which means it will probably feel a bit small for the 6-10 year olds. This is the TR3 model. For kids in that age group, the 23-inch TR4 probably would be better. The kids haven't seen them yet and I'm really looking forward to seeing their reaction. Although our congregation has three regular Torah scrolls, these are the first with rimonim and a breastplate (although, of course, they're not *real* silver)! ------ Regarding kids carrying them around on Simchat Torah: An adult needs to go with the kids. A kid will be hesitant to receive the scroll and has to be "prompted" by the adult to take it. Then the kid will hold on to it--and have to be "prompted" to give it to the next kid. I and one of the Tot Shabbat teachers both independently saw that. Review: Beautiful and Functional Torah Home Scroll - I can't tell you how happy we are with this Torah Scroll. We felt that it was a good quality product and my son enjoyed bringing it to Synagogue to show his friends. Many adults asked us where we purchased it from. Details were noticed, yad and breastplate nice extras. The torah is covered by a good quality heavy plastic zipped bag which has kept it safe and secure despite handling by a child. We felt that the text was easy to read and a great, overall home torah scroll for everyone. We are pleased and would recommend this to someone looking for a good, overall home scroll or a great scroll for a young person as a gift item. This torah was not too heavy nor too large for our child to carry alone, and most important it does not look like a toy! Thank you, great value. ## Features - Complete Torah Scroll - This beautiful sefer torah wrapped in faux leather cover Mantel is a child's dream come true! - Includes a metal torah pointer Yad, and a plastic protector for the Mantel - 19" tall - imported from Israel ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004IU8PLY | | Additional Features | Velvet mantel, plastic breastplate, torah pointer, and plastic protector | | Best Sellers Rank | #87,621 in Baby ( See Top 100 in Baby ) #540 in Christening Gifts & Gowns | | Brand | Zion Judaica Ltd | | Brand Name | Zion Judaica Ltd | | Candle Type | Pillar Candle | | Color | navy | | Container Material | Metal | | Container Type | Can | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 114 Reviews | | Embellishment Feature | Embroidery | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Item Dimensions W x H | 6.5"W x 19.7"H | | Item Weight | 3.5 pounds | | Manufacturer | Zion Judaica Ltd | | Manufacturer Part Number | FBA_TR-TORAH-1-2 | | Material Features | Soft, plush texture and gentle draping ability | | Material Type | Faux Leather, Paper | | Material Type Free | Lead Free | | Model Name | FBA_TR-TORAH-1-2 | | Model Number | FBA_TR-TORAH-1-2 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Occasion | Religious Activity | | Packaging Type | Box | | Product Care Instructions | Gently wipe with a dry cloth as needed | | Product Dimensions | 6.5"W x 19.7"H | | Product Style | Traditional | | Scent | Odourless | | Scent Name | Odourless | | Seasons | All Season | | Shape | Round | | Size | 19" Long | | Specific Uses For Product | Religious Activity | | Target Audience | Jewish individuals or communities | | Theme | Religious | | UPC | 783327993889 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Wick Quantity | 1 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Zion Judaica Ltd - **Color:** navy - **Product Dimensions:** 6.5"W x 19.7"H - **Item Weight:** 3.5 Pounds - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Scent:** Odourless - **Are Batteries Included:** No - **Indoor/Outdoor Usage:** Indoor - **Specific Uses For Product:** Religious Activity - **Shape:** Round ## Images ![Zion Judaica 19" Complete Torah Scroll with Metal Yad Pointer 19" Long Torah Scroll Tora Cover Color May Vary - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81wMaTzsfjL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Why do you claim it has "the whole text of the old testament"? the torah scroll only has the five books of moses, the pentateuch.** A: Yes ha torah only five book of moshe **Q: does this torah have text with vowels and trop included or plain hebrew text as would be found in a real torah scroll?** A: This Torah has text with vowels and trop. It is a 'toy torah' and I am convinced it is especially useful for Bar / Bat Mitzvah Training. The text is clear and it can also be used for the weekly readings of the Torah Portions. Be blessed! Psalm 122:6-9 **Q: Before I buy it can I ask amazon to ship the Torah with the blue box?** A: I don’t know what blue box are talking about **Q: What is that metal thing on the Torah?** A: It is a thin metal plate that has a crown on the top and the tablet of the ten commandments below with a lion on each side. I am not sure of it's purpose, It seems decorative. It is connected by a chain for hanging. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product, but be sure you understand the various lengths *by J***I on October 20, 2013* I bought two of these for the kids at the Messianic synagogue I attend. I have been learning to read Hebrew phonetically and slowly beginning to understand the meaning of words. Now I have my own Torah at home. This is marketed for kids in the description, but honestly I see it as a potential family heirloom. As I am aware a Torah scroll has traditionally been handwritten. I am an artist and I drew the Hebrew letters in order to learn them so I am aware of why a completely hand written Torah which has to be perfectly copied on lamb leather would cost many thousands of dollars. This is on a nice thick paper and well put together with the Torah printed out. For modest home use it is absolutely lovely. ## Frequently Bought Together - Zion Judaica 19" Complete Torah Scroll with Yad Pointer Plate and Plastic Cover Protector 19" Long Torah Scroll Tora Cover Color May Vary - Herodian - Biblical Classic with Handle - Replica Ancient Clay Oil LAMP & Certificate of Authenticity Hanukkah-Judaica/Christian Gift --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/5605151-zion-judaica-19-complete-torah-scroll-with-metal-yad-pointer](https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/5605151-zion-judaica-19-complete-torah-scroll-with-metal-yad-pointer) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Kingdom* *Store origin: GB* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
