All the well-known tracks on here are great of course but I bought this for the very hard to get American Gypsy track 'Inside Out' which is worth the purchase price alone. The Jackson Sisters mover 'I Believe in Miracles' is (at least to me) quite difficult to pick up too so I am very glad to see that on here.

Excellent selection with a couple of hidden gems
Rather puzzled by the reviewer who says he has hardly heard of any of these (isn't that a good thing?)because my main criticism would be that the selection is very conventional - hence 4 stars rather than 5. All the well-known tracks on here are great of course but I bought this for the very hard to get American Gypsy track 'Inside Out' which is worth the purchase price alone. The Jackson Sisters mover 'I Believe in Miracles' is (at least to me) quite difficult to pick up too so I am very glad to see that on here.

Love this cd great tracks by great artists

Wouldn't bother!
I bought this off the back of the 60's soul mix success. That is truly a great mix record. This is not! I hardly recognise any of the songs and the ones i do are not that great either. I would have thought the funk element of the 70's would shine through but put simply it lacks energy and the feel good factor that the 60's soul mix has in abundance.

Soul Sounds
I can't get enough of these 70's soul hits. Takes me back to when I was 16. Oh glorious days. Foot stomping, disco crazy. I put all my favourites on my MP3 which helps me run that little bit faster when I go for my jogging sessions. I particularly love Higher Ground, Stevie Wonder, Stoned Love, The Supremes, Soul Power, James Brown and quite a few more. A great mix of disco hits if that's what your into, if not Why! I will definately be buying more of these mixed CD's. Love them.

Those summer days, those summer days...
...Is the only track missing from here which would suit the summery theme of it so well! Sly and the Family Stone, Hot fun in the summertime for those wondering. Great compilation of tracks here, to give your party/everyday life that little extra funk and soul lift. A huge Stevie fan, so Higher Ground had me on the good foot in no time, and I'm glad to see the classics - Commodores, Aretha Franklin (Rocksteady sounds remastered it seems to my ears), James Brown, Maceo and the Macks. Some excellent other choices as well - Temptations 'Psychedelic Shack', one of my favourites but which I've never seen featureed on a funk compilation before, Marvin Gaye with 'I Want You' and 'Inner City Blues' rather than 'Got to Give It Up', Chic's 'I Want Your Love'. And some I'd never heard of before, though I'm an ardent funk follower/soul subscriber - the Equals 'Funky Like A Train', American Gypsy. I tip my hat to the compilers! Downside? Well, not a disco fan so I skip over the Barry White and Bohannon. But apart from that, it's all very very good. Go forth and buy it!
