Swing Lid Bin

An excellent bin for the kitchen. Looks very slim front on, yet has good depth. The swing hinge works well, always coming to rest in 'a flush with the edge position'. The lid has some weight to it, but it is easily lifted off to empty. The black plastic has a matt finish which looks good with the chrome fittings on the lid. My only problem is that the width of the opening is not wide enough to empty a dustpan into. My old Addis Swing bin was wider at the front with a hinge at the back. However, I much prefer the look of this Simplehuman bin. Now I will have to take the whole lid off or empty the dustpan directly into my wheelie bin. The bin is very stable on the floor even when empty. It looks very smart and stylish in my new kitchen. It was delivered sooner than expected.

I looked at loads of bins to go in my new kitchen. I was really taken by the SimpleHuman finger print proof pedal bin, but could not justify spending around £100 on a kitchen bin, no matter how pretty! I don't like soft touch bins as they always get messy and seem to break so I looked at lots of different bins and the reviews. I must say that this bin really lives up to all the good stuff already written. Well made, stylish, big, great swing action, easy to clean good price and a 5 year warranty! Perfect!

Solid large bin. Not great for under worktop, but that’s my fault. Needs room to swing open. Easy to empty. Would have had five stars but think it was expensive

What can I say but its a great bin. I did think it was a bit pricey but its worth it. Very neat and stylish. It is a slim bin but still holds alot of rubbish as its quite tall. Very sturdy also. Looks good in my kitchen.

Bought this to replace a motion sensor bin, as wanted something simple and easy to clean. The bin was well reviewed and initially appeared to be well built. Unfortunately two weeks in and hairline cracks started to appear opposite the swing mechanism, which would seem to indicate a design flaw. Return also proved to be overly complicated, took forever to process, necessitating endless back and forth 'chat' requesting already submitted details.

High price but high quality. I especially like the swing top rather than the pedal type. Bags are easy to fit and remove. It has actually drawn admiring remarks!

This is a very well made, good quality bin, The lid is easy to take on and off and it looks nice in the kitchen. The opening is a little bit small and it's a bit awkward if you're scraping plates or emptying a dustpan into it ( I'm sure I'll cope). I should have bought the 60 L size but was put off by the price.

This is a great looking sturdy bin however there is a too bigger gap between the swing lid and the frame which means that during the summer the smell from the bin can be very noticeable but worst of all is that flies can get into the bin to lay eggs and maggots can be an issue at times.

When I was looking for a new trash can a few months back, I found myself very conflicted, because I couldn't find what I wanted for the price I wanted. After reading the reviews, I finally caved, and spent *gulp* 40 dollars on a trash can. Just one. This was after realizing that I had already gone through a 7 dollar trash can, and a 12 dollar trash, that both had serious issues. I figured I was already 20 bucks into it, what the heck, might as well give it a try. I LOVE this trash can. It's perfect. With the lid in place it's about 28" high. I use the standard kitchen trash bags (13 gal) and they fit perfect. The lid does not cause any rips in the trash bags, I don't see it even putting any pressure on the trash bag. If need be, I can take the lid off one handed while holding something big to throw away in the other hand. The trash can itself seems very sturdy, holds up to dogs running into it. It is easy to move if I need to get behind it, and full bags of trash are very easy to take out of it. The lid itself is big enough to throw away standard kitchen stuff, it closes quickly with out swinging too much. It is easy to clean. The only problem I found, is that one of my GSD dogs, who is apparently not fed enough because he is always hungry, has figured out that he can stick his head in the trash can, and get out things that are on top. This is only a problem when the trash can is getting full, and when we're not home. I didn't knock off any stars, because it's not the manufacturer's fault that I have a hungry dog, and if it weren't for my dog, it would be a perfect trash can. It was 40 bucks well spent.

This is so much better than those cheap swing lid cans you buy at Wal-e-world. I had gone through many and the cheap ones last about a year before the lid warps or the plastic cracks. This unit seems like its thick and quality made. The lid is formed and is solid and even comes apart for cleaning. The top fits on very securely with clips and hold bags in place. The base can is thick and the color is nice too. I got the grey. I finally found a well designed trash recepticle.

Si nota subito la cura della realizzazione, plastiche pulite e senza sbavature, uno stampo curato nei minimi dettagli che ripaga i soldi spesi. SI svuota del sacchetto in un attimo e senza sporcarsi. Consigliato.

First off I have a big family, this garbage can fits my huge prepaid garbage bags. (Rural customers will appreciate this) it's easy to set up, easy to use and easy to clean. The dog can't get in it because it is tall and best of all, I paid half price amazon had it used in new condition!!!! Win.
