This $25 purchase really saved the day!The threads were really rusted and no amount of cleaning seemed to solve my problem. I tried a pipe cleaner with rust cleaner...no dice. I went out and purchased an $80 tap and die set which was disastrous. After googling my problem, someone recommended I buy these thread chasers. Miracle!!! And I do not say that lightly. This, along with CRC 03400, fixed all but one thread. It was smooth like butter.I chose to expedite these chasers because I needed the hitch for a vacation. The chasers arrived on time in a small envelope.I like these chasers because you can you a socket to tap the thread, unlike a conventional tap and die set. I found that these were very easy to work with. You can purchase higher priced thread chasers, but unless you are a mechanic by trade, why? These chasers are good enough for the home mechanic. Really disappointed that none of the taps or dies have "USA" or "Made in USA". These are the same thread restore tap and dies as the Lang 2584 sold on Amazon. The Lang ones come in a case and with additional items for a cheaper price. These are very good quality though and fast shipping. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Did the job. *by R***1 on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on December 21, 2015* I purchased these chasers to clean out some threads to mount a skid plate on an FJ Cruiser. There are four factory threaded holes in the frame cross members that were caked with rust, and the bolts that came with the kit wouldn't seat all the way. After soaking the threads with some PB Blaster and letting them sit overnight, I used the proper size and applied a small amount of oil to the chaser. I worked it in slowly with a ratchet/socket until slight resistance was felt. I would then back it out, clean the threads on the chaser, and repeat. They worked like a charm and after applying some anti-seize, the bolts went in like butter.
