The fish-out-of-water formula is not particularly inspired, but Grant and Parker are well matched; they're both pros who establish an immediate rapport and comfort with each other, making them persuasive as a married couple who haven't fallen out of love. On top of that, the supporting cast is top-notch: Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men) as Parker's snippy assistant, Sam Elliott (Thank You for Smoking) as the Wyoming marshal assigned to protect the neurotic couple, and Mary Steenburgen (Melvin and Howard) as the marshal's tough-as-nails wife are only the most recognizable of the solid ensemble playing the quirky characters surrounding the feuding romantic leads. A chunky Hugh Grant is Hugh Grant, the foppish fool, who plays for laughs. SJP can't get away from SAC and whines her way through each scene overacting and rarely communicating with any other character. Sam Elliot and Mary Steenburgen as the Wheelers were the most believable and entertaining couple. All have starred in better films, seek one of them out and don't waste your time with this fluffy piece of silliness. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Made so-so by SJP terrible comedic performance, a bit disappointing. *by M***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 December 2014* Hugh Grant is actually quite brilliant at generating abit of mirth in his usual way, Sarah Jessica Parker by contrast is just dreadful at the comedic side of things, as a result it all ends up abit dire at times.The story itself is only really there as a vehicle for the actors so don't expect much from the storyline for entertainment, it's just a shame that with SJP misfiring it means it's a big disappointment.The script still has a few good gags independent of the actors which probably stops it being a total disaster, difficult to recommend with much enthusiasm, but as a cheap 'watch once and throw away' movie possibly just ok. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect romantic comedy *by L***U on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 December 2015* This romantic comedy is brilliant and so funny, Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker work brilliantly together in the film. Meryl (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Paul (Hugh Grant) are a successful couple in Manhattan, Meryl is a real estate agent and Paul is a lawyer. They both go out on a date and witness a murder and soon they become targets of a contract killer and are placed into Witness protection. Throughout the film they find it hard to adjust to no phones, no communication with the outside world with friends and family. Throughout the film you see them from starting to hate each other to falling in love all over again.
