**Q: Do the probes last longer then 6 months as stated. That seems very short.**
A: Not sure how long they last, but they are incredibly difficult to calibrate. I stopped using them.

**Q: Does this sensor also check for acidic levels in plant soil?**
A: I do not know. It tests for conductivity which is a function of the soil chemistry, but I don't know if acidity is a factor.

**Q: can these replace capacitive sensors that come with arduino auto watering kit?**
A: Probably

**Q: Is there a way to make the rods longer to reach tree roots?**
A: probably not.
