Replaced a dead unit with this product. Installation was simple with the enclosed template and instructions and it works fine. It's an attractive unit without any brand marking and seems to work good. It does hum louder than the Samsung unit it replaced while cooking. Doesn't have all the features and sensors of some more expensive OTR microwaves, but I don't use those anyway. The door handle appears very sturdy, which is usually the first thing to break, so I'm optimistic it will last a good while.

I bought this as a gift for my son to go over his stove. Installing was easy and it looks good and also does a good job cooking, heating and thawing food and beverages.

This Midea 1.7 microwave does not have all the bells and whistles others have. The keypad has the basic presets, but does have the very important 30 sec. feature and the turntable off. The keypad numbers are easy to use due to the open layout and the absence of mega preset functions. Don't expect much light for the range-bulb puts out the equivalent (See Picture) of a night light. My units transformer for the magnetron hums so the unit is not super quiet. The Midea microwaves are all noted for excellent even heating. I have also installed the newer Midea 1.9 OTR model MMO19S3AST and for $60 more will run circles around this model and many of the other manufacturers higher priced models. So quiet, great LED stove light, better features, the only complaint is the the end of cycle BEEP is barely audible no matter what you set the loudness for. I know many people have never heard of Midea but it is the one of largest producers of OEM brand products in the world, so instead of the other brand names you have always loved, they are now marketing under their name. I will probably keep the 1.7 for a year and upgrade to the 1.9. They have the same mounting bracket and are interchangeable.

Microwave worked fine for 18 months until interior connection to the threads for the door handle disintegrated. I'd expect a longer lifetime than that. A new handle looks like it costs $60! Just a cheap product

I have had this appliance for a few months and it is working well. Some reviews mention that the interior light is not bright enough but it is the same as my old name brand. When comparing both side by side, I can see that the Midea has a more robust shielding pattern in the door glass with smaller holes and more solid area. I can still see through the door while operating appliance although I can see why people mention that it is darker.

This microwave is amazing. It looks just like the Whirlpool one I was looking at in Home Depot. Price was slightly better here but the microwave extended warranty was about $100.0 less expensive. It was packed very nicely with plastic corner guards to protect against damage. It’s actually pretty inside as well. I would highly recommend this product and give it 10 stars if I could.
