The IPod needs a little help to fit the battery case made for an iPhone—the iPhone is “fatter” than the IPod, So a couple of business cards used as shims or folded paper to size works well to make up the difference. Who uses IPods these days? Well you might be surprised! The ipod is a great platform for various software apps, the one which I use an iPod for is called Reyburn CyberTuner (high end piano tuning software) for IOS. Using CyberTuner, the ipod screen stays on constantly during use, and even turning down screen brightness to conserve battery power, it is nice having the battery case supply additional run time. Since the case is designed for the iPhone, which uses a lot of battery power, butIs running an ipod, which uses far less power, I basically get days and days of battery runtime with this setup. Also, placing recharging is a lot easier with this later gen battery case setup. With the older induction charger, lights underneath it indicated that the battery case was properly aligned on the charger. I’d have to pick up the unit to really see the lights. The newer double unit charger makes a little cheerful sound which verifies the battery case is sitting properly on the charger to charge.All for 10 bucks. Wow. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product !! Does what it is supposed to !! Easy to use *by L***A on February 25, 2015* Received the Powermat about 2 weeks ago and been using it with no problem at all. It charges my Iphone 5 during the night and I have a full battery in the morning when I wake up. I have not yet tried the extra battery that came with the unit... probably won't use it as the phone battery lasts the whole day for my use. Placing the phone on the charged mat requires only 1 second of your attention (literally !!) to ensure it was placed on the right spot. The magnets within the unit makes that very, very easy, so, just wait for the "beep" sound, and it is charging !!The "charging case" that you attache to the phone itself is thin and do protect the phone on daily use; I did not experience any "heating" while charging or after (as I read in some reviews).I'm very satisfied with the product ### ⭐ It's sitting in my junk drawer because I'm too lazy to throw it in the trash. *by R***N on December 30, 2017* I've been wanting a case with a battery and thought this would be a good choice since it's made by Duracell. Wireless charging was icing on the cake.When it arrived, the instructions were horrible. I couldn't get the thing to charge. There is also almost no information on the net showing how the thing works. I started charging it with a cord, but that had its own problems.I finally figured out that you had to press a button to make the case charge the phone, but it was awkward to use.After a couple of days of Googling, I found out that the phone had to sit on the base at the right spot and a magnet would guide it into place. I had been trying to put it lengthwise since the pad was the same size as my phone. But since the pad is made to charge two phones, you only put it onto one half and feel for the magnet to guide it into place. Even then it still didn't work as should.I will disagree with other reviewers about the quality. For the price it's fine... what I expected in something in this price range. It's not made to be a shock resistant case.To be fair... maybe it's the best thing made... but without adequete instructions I can't figure it out. How hard would it have been for Duracell to make a YouTube video showing EXACTLY how to use it?So now it sits in my junk drawer.
