The sliver cup brings my room together very nicely. It took awhile to get used to the tone of light because I had regular candelabra bulbs in my chandelier my whole life. Its an indescribable contrast and having white walls amplified it but I quickly adjusted and will never go back. Its a plus as far as the bills and the extra lighting I needed for makeup hoemwork and organizing the hoard I have in my desk. I keep the wooden blinds closed and they still show so brightly through my window at night. The light they provide is very harsh and bluish. It reminds me of a hospital hallway or something - not the ambience I was going for in my master bathroom. Second, they flicker. Constantly. It makes no difference where I set the dimmer, be it the highest setting, lowest, or anywhere in between, nor does removing and reinserting help. They just flicker. I decided to give these a go over a more expensive option because of the positive reviews and ended up purchasing the more expensive option and paid extra for faster delivery.
