Good value!
I am a long time musician and have a music studio in my home. I bought these TS cables to connect my mixer to a headphone amplifier/splitter so I can go silent while practicing and recording with my e-drums and guitars. I recently replaced my acoustic drum kit with the e-drum set to spare my wife who suffers from migraine seizures. I buy “Cable Matters” cables because they are affordable and reliable. They always get the job done. These are not the highest quality cables, but for the price they are an excellent value. They are not thick (heavy wire gauge) like cables for high volume passive speaker connections but that’s not why I bought them. They are flexible with decent quality end plugs. They work great for connecting my mixer LR outputs to my amplifier inputs. I even tested these cables by connecting them to my bass guitar. I don’t recommend them for live stage performances, but for practice or studio work, they sound as good as any of the other more expensive cables I have. I have other audio cables from Cable Matters and they are all decent quality and work well if used for their stated purposes. I definitely recommend these TS cables for mono unbalanced audio input purposes.

2 pack in the description but states 3 pack in photo
Cables are good quality, photo says 3 pack but it’s a 2 pack as stated in description , so don’t be fooled.

Preferred sound to more expensive cables
More expensive cables often sound better, but the returns diminish rapidly after a certain point. A $60 Mogami guitar cable is audibly better than a cheap Fender cable and is worth the money for studio use. But is a $150 Lava cable better than the Mogami? Not enough to justify the $ in my opinion. But more expensive is not always better. Here we have an example of a $15 cable set being preferable to a $40 set. I recently bought the Korg Minilogue XD synth and I needed 10' instrument cables to connect with my interface. I ordered some Roland Black cables along with the synth, but they ended up being back-ordered. Knowing I'd eventually need more cables anyway I bought this much cheaper set to "tide me over" until I got the Rolands, which I assumed would be better quality, at least in terms of durability and possibly sound too. I was wrong. After a few weeks using these cables the Rolands finally arrived and I switched them out. Immediately I noticed a change in the character of the sound. The Rolands had a sound I'd describe as dry and cold, not as involving. I switched back and forth a few times and consistently, I just liked the Cable Matters set more. Was it night and day? No. I won't make a blanket statement that these sound "better," and I won't say there's anything wrong with the Rolands. But the Cable Matters brought out a certain bloom or richness in the Minilogue's sound that the Roland cables did not, and I not only heard the difference but felt it too. These made me want to play more and the Rolands didn't. In terms of durability I'd say the two sets are comparable. Assuming Cable Matters have good QC and this is a representative example, I think they're a steal at this price.

Misleading Marketing
Don’t waste your money on these cables. They will pass signal — that’s it. If your only goal is to confirm that your instrument makes sound, they’ll do that. Nothing more. The shielding is aluminum, not copper, which means poor noise rejection and inadequate protection in studio environments. Their marketing claims tinned copper shielding, but you can verify this yourself by opening the cable and inspecting it. The information is misleading. The connectors are not gold-plated either. They may look gold, but appearance doesn’t equal proper plating. Test it yourself. I’ve done side-by-side measurements and comparisons. These cables are not worth the price. They look premium, but performance-wise they fall short — especially in recording and professional studio situations. To semi-pro and professional musicians: stick with proven combinations like Mogami cable with Neutrik connectors. Reliability, proper shielding, and consistent signal integrity matter. These cables will tell you your instrument is making sound. They won’t give you clean, dependable audio for serious work. I made a mistake and purchase 8 of them and if I could I would return them all.
