Are they suitable for women?

I bought them in grey, those are not see through. Ive put them through a leg workout and even deep squating does not begin to show transparency.Seem to be made of a different material than others...i have some white ones of a different brand and they begin to become see through when they stretch. Why i bought the grey. You should be good any color you buy with this brand though.

My son is thin, about 160 soaking wet and 6'3" Any suggestion what size he might need?

I'm a lean (155, 5'11" - waist 30") fit runner, and the medium fits me well. The small would be too small for me, and the medium is plenty long for me, with an easy 3-4" of spare material that usually gets smoothed around my ankles. I'd suggest the medium, which is also what I'll probably get my own teen-aged son.
