Only basic tools needed and use some plumbers mate or silicone to seal it. **Q: What is the difference between slotted and unslotted please?** A: The slotted is for a sink with inbuilt overflow (a hole in a ceramic sink, at the back of the bowl near the rim, that is moulded through to the underside of the sink), usually a hand basin, unslotted would be generally used for a metal or kitchen sink. **Q: Is the centre push button and the centre rod completely removable to allow for deep cleaning inside the bore and clear hair blockage?** A: Hi, the top unscrews and gives you access inside. In my sink I found the provided upper washer did not give a good seal as the sink was not perfectly shaped, I watched a YouTube video and used ‘Plumbers Gold’ instead, bedding the unit into this and also using it on the lower washer, gave a good seal. Simon **Q: What size pipe do you need to connect this?** A: I have fitted 3 of these and, the existing drainage "U" bend / plumbing has already been installed. If you have to install the plastic plumbing as well, I suggest you take the pop up basin fitting with you to a plumbing supplier who will advise you what sizes you need to buy. One tip when you do get to install the pop up, do not over tighten the large nut at the base of the fitting because you will damage the rubber sealing washer. Good Lick.
