Had this module go out in my 2013 XC70 and the fan just ran constantly until the battery would die. A royal pain to get to the module to replace it, especially if your arms/hands are on the larger size. I ended up loosening the fan assembly and lifting it up as much as I could (tabs kept it from coming all the way out) but raising the fan assembly up gave me just enough extra space to get to this and replace it. If you have a lift or a pit, that'd make replacement much easier. Held in by one screw which you'll need a very small right-angle phillips to get loosened. After you do that, just keep your wires in order and it's not too bad after that! Hope this helps!
