He is on the taller side as well.** A: There's a size chart if you click on Adult/Black (not sure why it doesn't show up on other combos). It says Age 9-12 = Youth (15"), 13-15 = Intermediate (16") & 15 & up = Adult (17") **Q: Does this product actually meet nocsae commotio cordis standards?** A: Yes it does. I called Easton and they verified it. On their site you can clearly see the certification tag. On Amazon it is a little harder to see but if you zoom in it is there. I have not ordered this product yet but if I do and it is not certified I will update this post. **Q: Would this work for umpiring little league and/or high school?** A: Kind of bulky but yeah, I think if you took the shoulder pad off it would fit underneath your umpire uniform. It's pretty protective. I've used it in my adult league baseball for catching and taken quite a few shots to the chest (i.e. blocking balls, foul tips) and have always come out ok. **Q: My son is skinny, do the straps adjust really well to tighten and give the sides a bit of coverage too?** A: I'm waiting for my son's new chest protector to ship. He is also very skinny. I've never been able to adjust a chest protector to fit his frame by using the straps alone. I always keep an extra roll of medical tape handy to adjust the straps smaller.
