## Description

Extra Grip Anti-Slip Additive provides a skid-resistant finish when mixed with most water base, oil or latex-based paints. It is great for creating anti-slip, safe surfaces on indoor/outdoor floors, decks, stairs, ramps, ladders and more. For proper application, mix thoroughly into the paint until an even and consistent mixture is achieved. Stir often, do not shake, to avoid settling.

Review: Worked excellent, great traction on stairs and as advertised transparent, you can see it though it looks like salt on the steps. Product looks like fine glass beads that would be put in a blast cabinet but much lighter possibly a plastic. Personally I think the price is too high I am sure someone is making a killing off this stuff, too much greed. That is why I gave it only 4 stars

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How well would Extra Grip work added to a third coat over two existing coats of latex paint on a rippled glass surface?**
A: This stuff mixes well with every coating. I believe it will work great. The results I got were well above my expectations.

**Q: Can you mix and apply with normal water or does it need to be a clear coat type paint?**
A: I mixed this with a machine gray oil base paint, and painted a concreate landing. the non slip grip mixed with the paint and turned out to be the same color has the paint. Hope this answered your question.

**Q: What's the advantage to using this instead of sand?**
A: The advantages over sand are:
1. Granules are small enough to completely mix with coating so as to not wear off while providing excellent grip.
2. They are completely clear.
 I used them mixed with a spar urethane to protect outdoor wooden steps I built. I spent many hours sanding and staining, making a beautiful set of steps I wanted to stay beautiful, but living in snow country they had to have grip. No way was I going to cover them with black or hardly transparent grip tape strips. This stuff is fantastic! Completely clear and very, very slip resistant without being hard on my dogs feet or ours. Definitely recommend this stuff.

Worked great on indoor hardwood stairs. Applied 4 coats of clear water based polyurethane floor finish and used this clear extra grip additive in the 5th coat (approximately 10 dry weight grams per 8 oz of liquid). As stated, this product didn't change the color or general appearance of the wood. It adds a slight grainy texture where applied, which is the anti slip mechanism. Walking up and down the stairs in stockings is much safer.
