Sure, he pulls out some controversial and offensive jokes, but shouldn't that be expected from a Ricky live show by now? All stand ups are good but the first 2 stand out as the best. 'Fame' and now 'Science' seem to be riding on the success of 'Animals' and 'Politics'. Don't get me wrong this is still a gem and far better than most of the tripe out there at the moment but it seems that Gervais has lost his hunger and has just relaxed because he knows his name will sell...I went to see this live and it was brilliant. This is probably a bit of a bias view judging by the fact I had wanted to see him live for years.He is still very UN pc and truely couldn't care less what you think about how raw his jokes are. As we have seen before, Ricky takes a stab at christianity which is always very funny. This time he rips apart the story of Noah using a large screen to project the pictures in the book he received as a child for attending Sunday school. Regardless of how funny this is, it doesn't take away from the fact that it has been done before. Even though the material is similar to that of the previous three, I would still go as far as to say that it out does 'FAME' with the quality of the jokes.By far the best part of this DVD has to be the bonus features. These had me in stitches, more so than the actual main feature! Again Gervais brings out his shaved monkey in a jar, Mr K Dilkington. Ricky introduces a new audience to the utter round headed, idiotic ramblings of Pilkington as he and Karl discuss some key academic subjects and Karl meets Warrick Davies, the dwarf who played an ewok in 'Return Of The Jedi. Comedy gold.I think it's safe to say that this is standard Gervais and if you aren't a fan of his offensive, dark jokes then don't bother with this DVD. If you are wanting to get into Gervais don't use this as a starting point.
