Heavy glass and crystal, it sparkles and compliments my SPA room.I read the reviews before I purchased it and saw a few that complained about it being too heavy and that they thought it should have a chain to help it hang better but if you take a moment and thread the cord through the hook provided properly, you won't have any problems. It threads through in an S pattern and this provides all the leverage and stability it needs to hang properly.The ONLY drawback I found was the color of the cord!!! It was black and stuck out like a sore thumb against my cream colored walls in my SPA. I had to wrap the cord with cloth tape to hide the ugly black color!!! Whoever heard of having a black colored cord on a beautiful crystal chandelier??? I have NEVER known any one who had black walls and ceilings!!! If they did, then the cord would blend in beautifully but my walls are cream and now it blends in nicely. All in all it is a great buy and worth the effort!!! The clear glass shade and crystals offer many options and are so authentic and beautiful. One of my best buys in 2022 to make my house look like the movie set I wanted.
