The downside: this seat is SO WIDE! I'm a slim woman and it's hard to sit in it for long - kind of like riding a mule. I purchased it after a hip surgery, partly because it adjusts really high. But I didn't notice it said it holds 350 pounds. Unless you have extremely good balance, I would not recommend this seat for anyone very heavy because it rolls soooo smoothly it could get away from under you, and the fall would not be fun.
