Blue, Green, Black, what's the difference?

Blue is usually the everyday drive, somewhere in between green and black. Other differences can be write endurance, or how long the SSD will last. Each SSD has a warrantied amount of writes, often in terabytes written (TBW) or data writes per day (DWPD). Bigger numbers are better. Black drives usually have more TBW. Black drives currently use a faster PCIe bus speed than blue on some models. (gen 3 vs gen 4) There are also red drives which are optimized for NAS/file server use.

Is it compatible with dell inspiron 5579 model?

Dell tech support had me order Crucial P2 500 GB for my Dell Inspiron 5570... $41.00. Slow delivery from Crucial. Western Digital would have been faster. I'm not a techie but think that it would be compatible
