Dependable and Durable.
The product itself is durable. Easy instructions allow for smooth interchange between chicken or quail slots. Chicken eggs fit comfortably within each divot - it'll get a little crowded if you do larger duck or turkey eggs. Worked great inside my Genesis. Timely clicks assured the eggs were always tilting. Successfully hatched (98%) a combined batch of Ringneck-Pheasants and Chickens. I used to hand turn each individual egg so I can definitely say it was wonderful to not have to time my outings to get back to roll eggs over! Will always use the auto-turner from now on.

Customer Support so very good good I had to update my Review!
Recently I just lost some eggs in this. 10 days into the set we found all our eggs in the bottom of the incubator. It seems the plastic parts are rather rough as far as finish goes. On mine the connector arm broke and allowed the trays to flip over. In all fairness the box looked like it might have had a bit of rough handling in shipment. I since spent some time removing spalling from the edges of the plastic parts . I found the racks were binding, not just against the frame, but also on the motor side of the pivot area. And yes I did rotate them up to the angle where they are supposed to snap in. GQF incubators have a great reputation in the poultry world with which I agree. So I called them and they were just great about it. Even though it looked as if the unit had been damaged in shipment they instantly put a new connector arm in the mail for me. Sadly once we got it we still found that even without a broken connector the machine was dumping a lot of the rather larger Coturnix Eggs out of the quail cups. So in dread I emailed them asking them what I might do. And this is when I really saw what the company is made of. Instead of just monkeying around with me, pecking away at repairs until we found the problem on the machine the way a lot of companies might do, in turn wasting the spring hatch for us. They simply sent us an email back requesting our address and shipped us an entirely new unit. How is that for a dedicated company? I am impressed. This one arrived in an undamaged box at our door just now. I anticipate a lot better results with this one since it has not been hit so hard in shipping, and I will take the time to clean up any spalling or roughness before using it. I learned to assemble everything except for the motor link and then rock the racks all the way in both directions, while feeling for any binding or roughness first. I cannot express how worth while the time spent doing this will be.

works too good...
help... I am trapped in a sea of white quail. Although there are many factors in a good hatching rate, the ability to plug in and forget it is so great after hand turning and the lost sleep and low hatch percentages that go hand in hand when you don't have one of these. Now, I have improved results with a nice jump in production. Good price considering the un-ending potential for labor savings. THIS IS HOW YOU TURN EGGS CORRECTLY, Period...

Decent product, but read reviews first so you are aware of issues.
Everyone says these things stick because of little plastic parts that were not machined off properly. If I was a farmer or avid egg incubator I may be able to "rig" this thing myself like other claim they had to, but I'm not those things. It does stick and it jolts the eggs when it finally "unsticks" itself. It's a noisy process. It does work ok as all of my duckies hatched successfully without me having to turn them at all. **IF YOU PLAN TO INCUBATE LARGE EGGS, SUCH AS DUCK EGGS, and you plan on filling the incubator, PURCHASE THE TRAYS SPECIFICALLY FOR DUCK EGGS. I had to space mine out because you can't put them next to each other because of the size. The trays it comes with are made for smaller chicken eggs (and they send tiny trays for quail sized eggs). It seems a bit overpriced for a lot of plastic and a small motor but it will save you from incessant turning and penciled x marks, and the stress from worrying about all of it.

Great Quail Egg Trays
Great to incubate quail eggs in your Hovabator incubator.

Design needs improvements
The egg holders are too small for the quail eggs I ordered. They could have reduced the number of eggs to increase the space for each individual egg. The overlap does not allow for 120 eggs to fit without there being contact. Update I am still very unsatisfied with this design and materials. I suggest taking a rail out in the center to allow taller quail eggs to clear the turning radius. I'm losing eggs daily to the turner catching the tops and breaking them. It was like racking pool balls when I originally placed them, now I'm having to do quick changes in the middle of incubation. Unacceptable. I maintain my opinion that the individual egg cups are too small. The sides of the turner rails need to be cut shorter to give more clearance for taller eggs. The finished product needs to be cleaner. There is too much scrap left on the edges. It shows how little they care about their final product. The product turns eggs, and breaks them, and crushes them. The smell is terrible. A deep clean is not possible during incubation, so you just have to deal with it. For the price I paid for this I think it should be a better quality product. I'm reducing my review from 3/5 to 2/5 stars. Update Reducing review to 1/5 stars. The product in the picture is not what you're going to get. That item looks well made and sturdy. You're going to get a flimsy and brittle plastic. I got the product in October of 2018. The motor for the turner stopped working in the middle of an incubation cycle.

Dependable for farm use.
I have two of these units and they are very dependable for my farm use. I find hatching 120 quail at a time is a manageable number and I have used my first unit to hatch chickens two times. Increases my hatch rate with auto turner.

Rotates well after adjustments
After reading the previous reviews where they had mentioned the excess plastic flashing on the mold seams for the quail trays, I removed the excess flashing with a dremel tool carefully until they rotated smoothly. You could use sand paper also. The chicken trays didn't need any adjustments. The larger egg cups will hold a small (malard) to medium (Khaki Campbell) duck egg but will not hold a large (Peking) size egg. Overall it was a good multiuse unit for the price since I can use it fir chickens, quail and duck eggs. The rails are a little tricky to switch out but I'm sure it will get easier with practice.

arrived broken
Box was not damaged at all, one of the egg trays was broken so it could not be attached to the turner.

Good product.
Works very well but is a little small for larger eggs. I trust this turner.
