The iPad (2018 6th gen) securely but easily snaps into place. The auto sleep/wake functions perfectly and all the buttons are easily accessible. It adds a teensy bit of weight to the overall unit but personally I feel it gives it a very substantial feel and is not detrimental. The finish on the cover is exceptional, fitting with Apple's design ethic.I purchased this case as a second choice, after my first choice did not fulfill its stated functions, but should have made this my first choice!The photos of this item do not do it justice.
