Does ecowash wash better than ecospin? many people seem to use ecowash for washing and ecospin for spinning although ecospin itself can do both.

Accepted Answer

The EcoSpin is a washer and spin dryer, but you have to remember that because of how it spins, when its full with water to wash it's actually going to take a lot of work. I'd honestly save yourself from hurting your arm and use the Eco Wash to wash and the Eco Spin to spin dry. I successfully did about 5 loads this way before my arm started hurting as opposed to 1 load and having to stop here and there to switch arms.

Is this really a non-electric washer and dryer? i'm really more interested in a machine that dries clothes w/o using electricity.

it's hand crank and it's spins, the more force you use the faster it spins. The water then runs out from the tube on the side. It does not completly dry cloth cause you would need heat for that but it remove so much water from it it feels dry, so hang dry is recommended. Hope this helps.

About how many items of clothing does this spin washer/dryer combo hold?

That depends on what you are washing.  I'm a plus sized woman (18W).  I can wash a pair of sweat pants, jeans or a maxi skirt.  Two gowns or five pairs of undergarments.  They come out very clean.  I wash small hand towels, wash cloths and dish drying towels.  I grab the handle with my whole hand and I have not any problems (I've seen people say the handle broke; but, I haven't had any trouble.)  It is a good product.  I only go to the laundry mat for sheets and blankets. To wring the water out, I spin it rapidly and that usually gets quite a bit of water out.  Not like a spin cycle in a washer.  But, it's not dripping water when I finish the spin cycle.  I really like this machine.

can detrgent that comes in pod work in machine?

Maybe if you break the pod open and squeeze a little of the liquid into the washer, but even a little of a pod's detergent might be too much for a load in this washer. Your stuff might get too sudsie, those things are pretty concentrated.
