There is a good variety of colors and textures. You get 9 Base paints, one Contrast, one Shade, one Layer, and one technical. The brush that is included isn't the best, but it will get you started. Clippers worked as intended and they also toss in a little tool for removing excess plastic from your miniatures. No instructions or anything explaining the paint types, I had to look up videos to learn. From the few that we've used thus far, I can say that they seem to be good quality paints. The base paints are pretty thick with amazing pigment, even after you water them down a little and after drying leave a smooth finish. All in all, this little set is a great value compared to order the paints individually.
