I recently installed this underfloor heating thermostat, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best home upgrades I've made. Right from the get-go, I found it incredibly easy to use. The setup was straightforward, and I had it up and running in no time. One of my favorite features is the user-friendly app that comes with it. It makes controlling the heating super simple, and I can adjust the temperature from my phone, whether I’m lounging on the couch or out running errands. What’s really cool is that it also works with Alexa. I can just ask her to change the temperature when I’m busy doing something else around the house. It feels like something out of a sci-fi movie! I can set schedules, so the floors are nice and toasty right before I wake up or get home, which adds a wonderful touch of comfort during those chilly days. The energy efficiency is a big plus too. I’ve noticed a drop in my energy bills since I started using it because I can monitor and control the heating with such precision. The display is clear, easy to read, and responds quickly to my adjustments, which is a nice change from some gadgets that take forever to catch up. Overall, this thermostat has made my life more comfortable and convenient. I highly recommend it to anyone considering underfloor heating. The Warmup 2013 model just cost me a lot of electricity usage! No 'smart' capability meant automatically set to 27deg after a power cut. This MeRoss device costs about half the price of the new equivalent and, based on other reviews, is far more capable and has a much better app & Alexa connectivity. So far, I am very impressed! Easy to install, wifi setup was simple and configuration of the app really straightforward. Alexa worked first time - a new 'skill' apparently. So pleased with it that I've already ordered a 2nd device for the other UF heated room. Oh, also comes with a sensor wire too - but my existing (installed) one seems to work fine too anyway.

Firstly - bought Warmup 6ie - what a pile of rubbish, support is useless and you need to reconfigure your whole network just to get it to work - so sent it back. Then I read a review about the Meross MTS200 - so I bought one to control the kitchen underfloor heating. Installation was simple and straightforwards even down to labels to attach to wires for identify them. Powered up and within 20 mins of receiving the item in the post it was up and working, connected to the internet and doing what it should. Why isn't all tech as simple as this to install - well done to all involved. ...in fact, it was so good I bought another for the main bathroom floor - what more can I say - oh yes, took me 10 mins to install as I already knew what I was doing. Fantastic product and brilliant price point.

This is a wifi connected thermostatic control for an electric heated floor. I have used it to upgrade an older wickes own brand electric floor. The problem I had was that we changed the room around and the old location is now inconveniently behind a piece of furniture, so turning it on/off, adjusting the temp etc was a pain. This was remarkably simple to install. The guidance in the app is spot on and it provides you with pre-printed labels to stick on the wires BEFORE you remove them from the old stat. The stat can be made to operate either from the in floor sensor or from the on-board sensor, in the latter case it is sampling the air temperature in the room (think about this when you are trapping it behind furniture though!) Once installed, you can access the controls and set up heating profiles to suit your usage. For those really into home automation, there is an unofficial Meroos IoT open-source GitHub project that allows you API access. This has allowed me to use it with a raspberry pi pico and a small temperature sensor so that the temperature can be sampled where it makes most sense (near where people are typically), rather than where the sparky installed it in the past.

If you have ever tried to programme electric underfloor heating thermostats you will know that it is the most tedious experience, it takes hours and a button pressed at the wrong moment means you have to cycle through multiple on/off, weekdays, times, etc its just awful. It's even worse if you have your bathroom heating control in an airing cupboard. With this its so easy, setting up an Alexa routine to turn the shower underfloor heating on from 5:45am every day for two hours or when I tell it to turn on the heating was literally seconds. I have set up another routine to turn it off when I say so too. The Alexa routines also confirm verbally when she has turned the shower floor heating on or off. If I felt like it I suppose I could set the shower floor heating to come on an hour before the alarm in the morning. So easy! I bought this as a replacement for a not that old thermostat that I just couldn't be bothered with programming or looking up in the manual how to change the time on. Fitting the Meross was a doddle, I was replacing a non-smart control so this was basically just turning off the power to the unit either by switching off the fused spur (or removing the circuit breaker for the room), taking off the old control front, labelling the wires as you do it, then putting on the new Meross. There isn't a dedicated earth socket on the Meross but there is a spare unused socket on the thermostat that you can use for this purpose if you just want to connect the earth mains and the floor heating earth. Once physically installed you need to connect it to Apple Home, I tried doing this in the Meross app which didn't work, so I switched to Apple Home, reset the thermostat and tried again; it worked and connecting it to Alexa couldn't be easier. The only downside to this thermostat is that when the underfloor heating if off, there is no visual indication that there is power to it. When you first turn on the power, the display lights up for a brief moment then goes completely dark and you worry that there's something wrong with the unit; unlike non-smart thermostats, this one does not have a clock as all this is controlled through an app. The Meross app seems useless, mine seems to have forgotten about the thermostat a few seconds after recognising it, but as this works with the Apple Home app and Alexa, which have far better interfaces then it's irrelevant. Really, setting up routines on this with Alexa is easy and you can control everything from your phone, in fact its so much easier that I'm going to get another for the bathroom underfloor heating.

Excellent thermostat. I have four rooms in my home with electric underfloor heating. I’ve got one of these for each room and it’s perfect. Set up is easy and the control is simple. Being able to control when you’re away from home and use Alexa / apple to control it is just brilliant. You can set floor temp limits which is vital for a few of my rooms because I have laminate with temp limits. Comes with the floor probe too. Meross just works

Stay away from buying it. It looks nice, works until your internet crashes first time. After that, you cannot reconnect, you cannot reset, it does not work. This product just looks nice. That’s it. You can’t rely on it, so choose something else.

It's a very nice piece of kit, easy to program on the App, has a lovely display, you can tune the brightness, love the way it can analyse the cost of having a heated floor if you put in the kWh price. Lots of options to create a very flexible schedule at different temperatures and days etc. I used to have an Aube which was simple and worked well but this is a big step in connectivity and flexibility.

I love these thermostats. I bought 2 for my new vacation home and am very happy with them. I wanted remote and full control of the heating because I come to the house occasionally so heating it up before I arrive and turning off the heat when I am not present is a must. I also love the antifreeze control mode (keeping the desired temperature even though the unit is turned off) and the open window detection mode. All of this helps me manage my vacation home and optimally control the use of energy - love it.

Review Meross Smart Thermostat Das Thermostat kommt in einer kleinen weißen Verpackung die direkt auf die für uns wichtigste Funktion hinweist. Kompatibel mit HomeKit, Google Assistent und Alexa. Im Lieferumfang sind das Thermostat, eine knappe Anleitung, Kabellabel in doppelter Ausführung, ein externer Temperatursensor und Schrauben. Technische Daten. Das Thermostat funkt im WLAN auf 2,4GHz. Die Netzspannung darf zwischen 100 und 250V liegen. In der Anleitung wird darauf hingewiesen das das Thermostat nur mit elektrischen Fußbodenheizungen funktioniert. Nicht mit den hierzulande verwendeten wassergeführten Heizungen. Das werde ich für dieses Review mal ignorieren. Installation. In meinem Fall war das nach 3 Kabel und 2 Schrauben erledigt. Leider bietet das Thermostat nur die Möglichkeit die Horizontalen Schrauben zu verwenden. Je nach Einbaudose wären 2 weitere Löcher hilfreich. Platz wäre vorhanden gewesen. Das hinzufügen in HomeKit war mit dem aufgeklebten QR Code schnell erledigt. Um in der Meross App das Thermostat hinzuzufügen wird leider ein Nutzeraccount benötigt. Wer auf Firmwareupdates verzichten kann und Heizkurven in HomeKit anlegt, kann aber darauf verzichten. Bedienung. Am Thermostat selbst kann man zwischen 4 Heizmodus wählen, die Solltemperatur einstellen und das Gerät ausschalten. Leider habe ich keinen Weg gefunden von den Automatischen Heizmodus wieder in den manuellen zu schalten. Das geht wohl nur über die Meross App. In der Meross App stehen dann noch weitere Funktionen exklusiv zur Verfügung. Hier kann der Gerätename geändert und die Anleitung eingesehen werden. Es ist möglich eine Kindersicherung zu aktivieren. Die Temperaturen für die Automatikmodus können eingestellt werden. Ein Zeitplan ist einstellbar. Die Temperatur kann kalibriert werden. Bodenüberhitzungsschutz, Frostschutz und Fenstererkennung sind schlagbar. Die Schaltdifferenz kann zwischen 0,5° und 3,5°C eingestellt werden. Ein Standort ist einstellbar der wohl dazu dient die lokale Außentemperatur in der App darzustellen. Zuletzt folgen Informationen zum Gerät und WLAN Status. Mir fehlt in der App eine Funktion um das Display am Gerät zu konfigurieren. Dieses schaltet zwischen 2 Helligkeiten um. Mir fehlt hier die Möglichkeit das Display ganz auszuschalten. Gerne nach Zeitplan um in der Nacht nicht gestört zu werden. Am Tag ist das gedimmte Display leider zu dunkel um jederzeit die aktuelle Temperatur sehen zu können. Zusammenspiel mit einer wassergeführten Heizung. In meinem Haus arbeitet als Heizsystem eine Wärmpepumpe. Alle Heizungen sind als Flächenheizungen ausgeführt und werden mit geringen Vorlauftemperaturen betrieben. Eine Nachtabsenkung findet nicht statt. Eigentlich eine Situation in der man keine Raumthermostate benötigt. Trotzdem wollte ich eine Möglichkeit die Raumtemperaturen abzulesen und bei starker Sonneneinstrahlung die Heizung für den Raum abschalten zu können. Daher habe ich mir dieses Thermostat gegönnt. In unserem Fall sind magnetische Stellventile verbaut für 230V Versorgung. Beim schließen des Stromkreises wird der Heizkreis geöffnet und der Raum wird erwärmt. Das ist der gleiche Mechanismus der auch bei einer elektrischen Fußbodenheizung eingesetzt wird. Daher kann dieses Thermostat hier betrieben werden. Fazit: Schönes Design und ausreichende Funktionalität für meinen Einsatzzweck. Ich hoffe mir Firmwareupdates kann die Displaysteuerung nachgereicht werden.

Werkt goed in apple homekit, maar ingebouwde temperatuur sensor onbetrouwbaar. Als oplossing kun he een externe temperatuur sensor aansluiten (meegeleverd) en in een externe omhuizing in de buurt van de thermostaat hangen, dan is de temperatuur wel zeer accuraat. Maar is natuurlijk een minder mooie oplossing. Maar ja, er zijn verder weinig elektrische thermostaten die apple homekit ondersteunen. Ik gebruik hem in combinatie met een infrarood paneel van bosch.
