The plush cloth side is perfect to start out with as it keeps it from being too cold at the start. The other side has a colder material and you can easily flip it over after 15 or to 20 minutes and get more coldness doing so. Using both side, I had over 30 minutes and maybe up to 40 …..of good coldness. Unfortunately the bad part is that it was not at all comfort to wear while cooking dinner and moving around the house. It’s heavier in the back side compared to the front side, so the back side slips down the back while moving around and that brings the front snap against the neck….where it is very uncomfortable. However, when I really have a bad headache…I will be using this while laying down (not while doing my chores), so cooking while wearing it just might not be a fair test of it. I hope it will be more comfortable while laying down and resting.
