In September 2011, the double murder of gangsters Raju Pargai and Amit Arya rocked the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Pargai, who was well on his way to becoming a national security threat by smuggling weapons into India, had risen up the ranks of criminals quickly – but that also made him the target of Indian intelligence agencies, which then ordered the covert assassin named 'Agent Lima' to put him down. The day after the murder, Laxman ‘Lucky’ Bisht – an NSG commando who had also been personal security officer of politicians such as L.K. Advani and then CM of Gujarat, Narendra Modi – was arrested from his home in Haldwani, accused of the double murder. Thereafter begins a tale shrouded in mystery and suspense. Was Agent Lima and Lucky Bisht one and the same person? And if they were not the same person, why did Lucky Bisht languish in prison for more than five years, being transported from jail to jail, his bail application denied, while he was working for the government? Master thriller-writer S. Hussain Zaidi is back with a tale of intrigue and deceit in R.A.W. HITMAN: THE REAL STORY OF AGENT LIMA. Based upon true events, this is a book that will keep readers on their toes right till the end. Review: Read this if you ever feel deserted in life. - Had mixed thoughts before downloading the kindle edition. Straight away coming to pros and cons or rather what you should or shouldn't expect from the book: 1. 'Poor writing' Many reviews mention poor writing. To me its as good as any Indian author can be. The book does lack the normal lusture of any crime thriller, but then it was never meant to be a sensational presentation. The writing does total justice in presenting the psyche of the person Laxman Singh Bisht (LSB). So one must 'not' expect King's english or literary ecstasy, but any one in awe of the now-celebrity Lucky Sir, and aching to know about this journey specifically those four years, could totally quench their thust. And the stature of the person would increase manyfold. 2. 'Credibility issues' Many ppl have doubts on LSB an an agent for RnAW. Well, as for the book it nowhere states that Agent Lima =LSB. Might need to read the second book probably. Its simply the narrative of survival instinct of LSB during a turmoil phase and a parallel of his training. In fact the ending shall leave u thinking about LSB for quite some time. 3. Credibility about RnAW Again this is a biography not autobiography. Therefore expect some extent of creative Liberty. How much exactly, can be easily verified from the news archives easily available all over the net. Well Nowhere ever in any of his podcasts, interviews etc, did once is this agency named. So, no wonder the book leaves this out. Ok. The bottomline: Its a open ending book. Leaves many things to your understanding. To believe or not is upto the reader. Just Do the math. Definitely a good read. P.S. If you have grown up reading Holmes, Feluda, and fan of Cormoran strike, Jack Reacher, Lisbeth Salander etc, DO NOT miss this one. He is the man leaping out straight from your fantasy (You would know what I mean) Review: Best book - Book is in good quality paper quality is also good overall best value of money

A great narrative
Quite stunning as usual, on all the journalistic stories by Z Hussein. It's a real time narration without any extra froth.

Real life based crime thriller #therawhitman
One of the most spectacular book that I read is #therawhitman ,it has all the elements of thrill which takes u to a height and then leaves u to figure out what could be the possibile learning from the story, #shussainzaidi has again bring a storm by writing this book as most of his previous popular books has a Negative shades in protagonist, but with this book he could bring a real life story of an ordinarily extraordinary man aka #luckybisht #luckycommando #commanderbhai / #agentlima ,who is not just a soldier but also raw agent working for security agencies of India, the twist comes when how a murder charge made a solider under scrutiny of law and he had to fight his whole battle alone with his family, his survival instincts which he learned during his training days at Israel define from "a man who can eat snakes will never die hungry" and his love for his nation is undermine when he says to his best friend (during training) on asked "Yes he would kill him if he was opponent from other army" how the training from Zora singh helped him to take all the mental and the physical torture that he had to undergo during his murder trail, the story has some most powerful names of underworld which makes the reader in thrill as it is a real life story.

Eroor in Age/Date of Birth
The age of Laxman Bisht in Chapter one is mentioned Twenty-three as on 6th September,2011 but in Chapter it's mentioned that he was born in 1985. If he was born in 1985 then his age in September 2011 would be 26 and not 23.

Disappointed ☹️
I am honestly quite disappointed with this book...was expecting something Hussain Zaidi is known for but this book is over exaggerating and full of inconsistencies... hoping for a chapter on rumoured covert operation in the neighbouring country....none whatsoever....did not live up to the expectation and definitely worst book by Zaidi yet
