My husband was still stuck on flashlights when we lost power, he wanted to buy a new Maglite, which was a great flashlight 20 years ago. These lanterns have magnets as mentioned making it easier to light a garage or other outdoor space keeping it stationary allows us to do some outdoor work when the sun sets at 530pm. The handles make them simple to carry and or carry several at once. They seem well made, need more time to assess the durability, light life and battery efficiency.
