Featuring a dual-core R4iNP kernel for enhanced speed and stability, it eliminates the common 'timebomb' expiration, ensuring uninterrupted use. While it requires manual kernel installation and does not include a micro SD card, it offers gamers a future-proof, versatile solution to expand their handheld gaming library. ## Description NOTE: This does NOT come with a micro SD card. The kernel will need to be manually installed. The U.S. hosted kernel link will be located on the packaging, please follow the instructions in order to successfully load the kernel onto your own micro SD. This is the latest version (2025). Runs the R4iNP kernel, an Ace3DS+ variant. Compatible with the Original Nintendo DS, DS Lite, DSi, 2DS, and 3DS. If there are any questions about this cart, please ask! I'll be happy to help. Review: Game Saver!! - Utility Beyond Storage This adapter is an incredible value for the money, but for me, it was more than just a budget find—it actually helped me complete a mission on one of my other game cartridges. I ran into a hurdle that I couldn't get past on the original hardware, and having this R4 as a utility tool was the only way I could finally bridge that gap. It’s essential gear for any collector or maker using a DS Lite or DSi. The Setup Process The setup was straightforward, even though I misread a few of the initial steps. The manufacturer provided a solid guide that got me back on track quickly. Keep in mind: the card comes blank. You have to provide your own microSD and download the "kernel" software yourself from the link they provide. Pro-Tip: Respect the 32GB Limit The only hurdle I faced was trying to use an oversized SD card. Even when I forced a larger card to format, the file names wouldn't show up in the menu. Save yourself the headache and stick to a high-quality 32GB microSD. It’s the "sweet spot" where the software behaves exactly how it should. Final Verdict Whether you’re looking to back up your collection or you need a technical workaround for a mission that just won't cooperate on your original cart, this is a must-have. It’s affordable, snappy, and does exactly what it needs to do. Review: Exactly what I needed - Doesn't get better than this. Runs NDS games and also has a built-in GBA emulator in it's kernel ## Features - NOTE: DOES NOT come with a micro SD card. Kernel will need to be installed manually. The kernel link hosted in the USA will be located on the package, follow the instructions to successfully load the kernel in your own micro SD. - Runs the R4xMP kernel, an Ace3DS+ variant. - Compatible with Nintendo DS, DS Lite, DSi, 2DS and 3DS. - Unlike many other R4s on the market, this one has no time pump. This means that it will not expire on a certain date for you to buy another. - Latest Version 2026 ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0C8KXD15F | | Best Sellers Rank | #40,611 in Computers ( See Top 100 in Computers ) #67 in Computer Memory Card Adapters | | Brand | HawkTec | | Color | White | | Colour | White | | Compatible Devices | Nintendo DS, DS Lite, 2DS, 3DS, 3DS XL, New 2DS, New 3DS | | Compatible devices | Nintendo DS, DS Lite, 2DS, 3DS, 3DS XL, New 2DS, New 3DS | | Connector Type | Proprietary | | Connector type | Proprietary | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 399 Reviews | | Finish | Matte | | Finish type | Matte | | Item Weight | 0.01 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | HawkTec | | Mfr Part Number | R4HK2025 | | Model Number | R4XMP2026 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Ports | 1 | | Package Quantity | 1 | | Power Plug Type | No Plug | | Specific Uses For Product | Video Game Console | | Specific uses for product | Video Game Console | | UPC | 707331498956 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** HawkTec - **Colour:** White - **Compatible devices:** Nintendo DS, DS Lite, 2DS, 3DS, 3DS XL, New 2DS, New 3DS - **Connector type:** Proprietary - **Specific uses for product:** Video Game Console ## Images ![R4 2025 R4iNP SDHC Dual Core Update Adapter Memory Card for NDS DS DSI 2DS 3DS New 2DS New 3DS XL, No Timebomb - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81-vREJnXOL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is a SanDisk 32gb microsd card compatible?** A: Yes, I believe 32gb is the max size for these and SanDisk is a good option ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Game Saver!! *by D***D on 18 March 2026* Utility Beyond Storage This adapter is an incredible value for the money, but for me, it was more than just a budget find—it actually helped me complete a mission on one of my other game cartridges.
