And an encouraging theme, It was my daughter’s favourite 30 years ago. She has always remembered so I bought her a copy to share with her daughters and now another generation is enjoying it. I hadn’t been thinking about it but the timing was great as my granddaughter was starting school without knowing any of her classmates

This is a really lovely story about finding friends. Beautiful pictures. A clear story told simply. A character you can sympathise with. The loveliest story for a young child. Beautiful reassuring story, with delightful pictures , that are beautifully coloured too. Have bought several copies, just to give away for babies’ christening presents etc, as it’s well worth keeping for when the child is older. Nice size too!
