Thanks very much to the seller!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant Martial Arts Trilogy *by A***G on 29 April 2016* What is there not to like in this IP Man trilogy, next to nothing, it is all good. From the first brilliant film set at the time of the Japanese invasion which introduces the IP man character to us, a matchless Wing Chun master, packed with superb fights, 1 on 1 or Donny Yen tackling 10 Japanese Karate Practitioners, the action directed by the legend Sammo Hung is magnificient. Chinese films have a soulful nature to them that Western films almost never have, so it softens the brutal fights with IP man being magnanimous in victory, showing the fundamental benevolent nature of his martial art.The second film takes the action to Hong Kong where IP man takes on a rival master played by Sammo Hung in a bar table fight that is simply mind blowing. The martial arts choreography by Yuen Woo Ping is First Class, fight after fight takes your breath away, and the end fight with the late Darren Shahlavi as Twister is another classic, Western boxing vs Wing Chun. Also he played Kano in Mortal Kombat.The third film moves the action onto 1950's Hong Kong where IP man tackles Mike Tyson, among others, in a fight that showcases the power of Tyson's fast fists. The tragic death of his wife to cancer is sensitivily handled with a soulful quality. The elevator fight vs a Mua Tai fighter is awesome and the end fight where Wing Chun vs Wing Chun showcases weapons fighting with poles and double blades and finally hand to hand combat. Even Beardy, Bryan Leung Kar-yan, from the Classic Thundering Mantis, where he literally consumes his enemy!, is here, so fans of his work can relish him once again.As a trilogy there is so much to enjoy here with the extras including interviews with Donny Yen and other actors being very interesting. It has 4 audio tracks - english stereo and 5.1, and Cantonese stereo and 5.1, and english subtitles. For £10 this is a must have addition to your Martial Arts collection, brilliant stuff, love it :-) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Good Kung fu does not depend on age or sex but on how well you fight." *by A***D on 25 May 2016* If only Ip Man taught PE at my school I would have become a decent human being instead of a mini egg obsessive bad horror movie enthusiast I would have fought for Britains independence, been respected by local people in markets had a beautiful home, wife, cute kid that interrupts my discussions/fights and taught future movie stars the art of fighting without fighting. Great trilogy Donnie Yen excels both physically and mentally with subtle acting and quite emotional scenes of a man who loves his art but hates violence. When he fights for the honor of the Chinese people against the Japanese occupation he fights many Karate experts but when he demolishes them so they wont fight for a few months or ever again (broken arms and legs) you see a look in his eyes he hates having to do this its not why he trains he is not this person but while you love his skill and justice you feel sympathy for his plight.
