## Description

Hive is a strategy game for two players. Each player leads an army of insects with various movement properties and attempts to immobilize the opposing queen.This extension brings a "Woodlouse" pawn to each player.

Review: Essential add-on for an incredible game - As the Hive instruction booklet recommends, it's best to learn the game without the expansion pieces that come with Hive Pocket (the Mosquito and Ladybird). But once you've reached the stage where you're playing confidently with the standard pieces, it's best to add all three expansions at the same time - Mosquito, Ladybird and Pillbug. The Pillbug works as a beast of a defensive piece, being able to pick up and move anything it's next to - either shifting your Queen Bee to safety or throwing attacking pieces away. A well-placed Pillbug becomes something you have to really think about neutralising before going for a final attack. It definitely adds a lot to games so buy it ready for when you feel it's time to add the expansions.

**Q: How does it move exactly? I heard it was able to swap places with other pieces or something is that true?**
A: Yes, there are two moves that you can do with a Pillbug. The first is that it moves just like the Queen, one space at a time. However, instead of it moving, you can move a piece that is touching the Pillbug by placing that piece on top of the Pillbug and then down beside the Pillbug (one up, one down). **Q: is this for hive compact version?**
A: It is called the 'Pocket Version" and yes this is the smaller version of the set, not the regular sized version.

**Q: Is the white Pillbug pocket piece the same white as the rest of the white pocket pieces?**
A: Yes. Just bought this and it matches the Hive pocket pieces.

I haven't played the game with this add on yet as it is a birthday present for my son, but he is convinced that these will be the best pieces of the set, and will worth the add on. You will buy it, and you will moan at the price. It is a needed expansion, and the quality is good, just the price is a little painful. Get it, be annoyed at it, then enjoy it.
