Love this stuff!
I almost didn't order this because of all the reviews saying the spray bottle didn't work. Then when I received it I thought they were right... until I noticed a little safety toggle on the neck of the bottle. Once I switched off the safety it worked like a charm and I'm glad it has that feature! I have two chickens in particular that I bought this for, one broody girl who was pulling out her own feathers and another who is being picked on by another hen. This spray has solved both issues, with the broody girl I spray it on her preferred plucking spots about once a week and her feathers have grown back. The other I only sprayed once and it seems to have broken the bully's habit. 5 stars all the way, grateful to have this in my cupboard!

Ineffective because not allowed to spray on head where my chick is mainly getting pecked .
I have a 12 week old pullet who was attacked by the adult hens two weeks ago and they pecked all the skin of her head so her skull is exposed. THey also almost blinded one eye, but it looks like it might be healing. I've had her isolated in a wire cage where she can see the flock and they can see her. The wounds seem healed over but she will never grow feathers on the top of her head. My challenge is getting her integreged back into the flock, when ever i let her out or let others int her cage they start attacking her again. This stuff does not help, because I can't spray it on her head wattles or comb where she is getting pecked. Also the main ingredient , capsicum pepper is not something that bothers chickens! They don't mind it. I did not know this when i ordered it.

Helps deter pecking
Iโve used this on a hen that was getting picked on, and it definitely helped reduce the pecking when applied consistently. The smell seems to do its job โ other hens lose interest pretty quickly after itโs applied. Itโs especially useful for minor wounds or areas where feathers have been pulled, giving them a chance to heal without constant harassment. That said, itโs not a one-and-done fix. You do need to reapply as directed, and it works best when combined with addressing the cause of the behavior (boredom, pecking order issues, etc.). What I liked: Helps discourage pecking fairly quickly Easy to apply. Useful for protecting healing areas Things to keep in mind: Needs reapplication. Strong smell (thatโs kind of the point) Works best alongside proper flock management. Overall, a helpful tool to have on hand if youโre dealing with pecking issues, but not a complete solution on its own.

Feather loss- Dang Pluckers
This was an excellent purchase . If you have a chicken that is being plucked in bulky other chickens or if your chicken is a picker/plucker , this stuff works really well and promotes feather growth and deters plucking/picking.

Meh
Our chickens have been pecking each other's backs. Using the spray I dont notice any great signs of healing or changes in their skin. I give 3 stars for the clean ingredients in the product in comparison to other products out there.

Helps to eliminate bullying.
This product seems to keep the other chickens from pulling feathers out of one. I am satisfied with this purchase.
