I use it primarily for catching large mouth bass using Texas rigged 5 inch stick worms like the Yamamoto Senko in and around heavy cover, where it has the power to set the hook and fight big fish out of the weeds, as well as the ability to skip the lure under overhanging trees into submerged branches without back-lashing. I especially appreciate the fore grip on Tatula spinning rods that extends in front of the reel, for it enables me to fight heavy fish with greater leverage than is afforded by simply hanging onto the reel itself.Cons: As with my other 6 Tatula rods, including both spinning and bait casting models, the hook keeper is placed where any slack line tends to hang-up.
