3M Rubber Sanding Block, 4.75 x 2.63 in

Typical block style! Have had many over the years. They work good for about a year then rubber starts to harden and then the crack or get so stiff you cannot work with them to load paper.

Best price I found in a hard to find item. Works well and saves wear on finger tips. Well built, heavy duty rubber will last a lifetime. My last one I had 20 years and disappeared.

While this is the only sanding block I’ve tried, I own multiple of these for different grits so I don’t have to swap the sandpaper. Been happy using them for various woodworking projects. They’re perhaps a little heavy, but sturdy and easy to apply pressure with.

This is exactly like the one my dad had for 40 years. Great quality and price. Highly recommend.

This solidly made hard rubber product should last for a very long time. An unexpected benefit is that the heavier weight makes it easier to use because I find it works beautifully without me having to use a lot of pressure. I’m currently using it with 80 grit on raw stock, and it works great!

For a sanding block, it does the job. The size of the block works great for standard sized rolls of sandpaper. The standard sandpaper rolls SLIGHTLY overhang on the sides of the sanding block, which is great so that you can get into corners. The bottom of the block also has a EXTREMELY SLIGHT arc to it so that the front and back of the block create a little more friction on the sanding surface. It's also a hard durable rubber (or at least that's what I think it is), so it's softer to hold onto that a piece of wood, and it seems like it would last a long time. Lastly, it has "teeth" on both sides of the sanding block that grab onto the sandpaper. That's really nice. Then you don't even need to worry about using the sticky back of sandpaper. The sandpaper holds really well.

I wish there was a trustworthy brand that made something more lightweight, but all the reviews (and my experiences) suggest anything cheaper either will fall apart or is somehow not flat on the bottom (and so can't do the only thing a sanding block needs to do). So that leaves you with this classic brick. I don't understand why it needs to be so heavy, as that gets in the way of being able to use it more effectively and for longer periods of time. Also, the process of opening / removing / replacing the paper seems to take three hands, so unless you have a close assistant helping you sand, then you'll have to figure out how to do it "good enough" with just two.

O produto é um clássico que parou no tempo, mas ainda éo melhor, poderia ter melhorado o sistema de fixação, mas é super robusto e dura muitos anos, mas por 50,00 acho muito caro, mas não tenho outra escolha com a mesma qualidade.

Expensive, sure, but easily the best sanding block I’ve used. Others tend to slip about or leave the finish a bit uneven, but this one gives you much more control. It grips the paper well and feels solid in the hand, which makes a big difference if you’re doing anything beyond a quick touch-up. Surprisingly comfortable to use too, even with a bit of weight to it. The rubber gives just enough grip without feeling awkward, and it stays put during use. I’d happily buy another if I ever needed to, though I doubt I will any time soon given how solid it feels. Not the fault of Amazon, but didn't end up being delivered on time so ended up buying one from B&Q (and paying more).
