The laptop compartment is well padded to keep your computer safe. There is also a little pocket below the laptop compartment for wallets and such. My version has the luggage strap and the backpack can slide easily over any carry-on handle. The main compartment has a bunch of pockets for tablets, cables, battery packs and other small electronics and it can also hold at least 4 notebooks. Front compartment is for easy to reach items like documents, earphones etc. The two side pockets are excellent for my umbrella/sunglasses and a water bottle. So far the zippers have held up well and never got stuck or given trouble while unzipping. The straps are nicely cushioned and distribute the weight on my shoulders (never felt any weight on my back). It's still holding up very well after 7 months of abuse. I love the slick design and the secret pockets in the back. The thick straps and extra shoulder padding make this pack really easy to carry for a long time without it putting too much strain on your back. I tend to be really picky about my backpacks, so I'm extremely impressed.I didn't like the appearance of the logo very much, so I put an iron-on patch over it.
