I cannot use my own labels? Terible

The labels have an RFID tag on the inside of the roll. If you buy a roll of dymo brand, take the tag out, and put it inside/near the reader then you can use your own labels.

Am i forced to buy dymo-brand labels for this printer?

Can I use my older genuine Dymo labels that don't have the big brother chip in them?

No, the 550 doesn't detect new out of the box DYMO 30327 labels that i used in other LabelWriter.

I use the 450 in my retail business to print pricing labels that are 1" X 1.5" in size. Does the 550 recognize these labels?

Not compatible with the Windows system here in Singapore

Regret to buy the American LabelWriter 550 as I need to change Windows region for US and reopen the DYMO Connect software.

Good easy and reliable

I love the Dymo . We had several in out office years ago and they worked great but were not compatible with the new computer updates. I had ordered a different brand and hated it! I returned that and bought this little Dymo and it works fine and is all I need.
